I reached out toSuperior but have not yet heard back. I also contactedthe local Leslies near me and they have nochlorine and do not know their next delivery. Wecontinue to struggle with other chemical shortages aswell as pool equipment that needs to be replaced forour clients. On a positive note, gas prices have beendecreasing the last few weeks!The guest speaker for our July general meeting will bethe California Highway Patrol. They were able toreschedule from not attending last month.For the August general meeting, we have Hayward asguest speaker and Lenny Paris territorial salesmanager San Diego will be hosting a class onHayward's new pump & heater. The class will be 1 &1/2 hours long including a SIT DOWN DINNER.Obviously, education points will be granted, but even ifyou have reached your 10 point educational requirement,everyone is welcome to attend. Jim Bradbury, a member of the San Diego chapter formore than 30 years, passed away recently. During his time with the SanDiego chapter, Jim wore many hats, but he gave 100% devotion to eachand every one.Jim served several terms as the Chapter secretary at a time when no oneelse wanted the job. Although the level of detail that Jim applied to theposition made some people crazy, there is no doubt that his patience andpersistence benefited the chapter in many ways.Over the years, Jim gave that same dedication to the positions of chapterVice President, President and several committee chairmanships includingContinuing Education and Standing Rules. In each position, Jim set astandard for what could be, and improvements for the chapter resulted fromeach one.In recognition of his many accomplishments and contributions to the chapter, Jim was made anHonorary Member and in 1999 he received the chapter's B.K. Taylor Memorial Award for outstandingservice.To say that Jim will be missed would be an understatement, but it is individuals like Jim, whosedevotion and dedication to IPSSA, have made this the best pool service organization in the country.Submitted to IPSSAN by SD Chapter Honorary Member John Silcox

There was a zoom meeting withfour Region 7 IPSSA Chapters. To discuss the summer party. All new members must have blue cards filled out in case sick leave coverage occurs. Short discussion on the recent chemical shortages and on- going product supply issue. Jon Mc Arthur is still trying to re-book CHP as a guest speaker. Jon is looking for speakersand is open for suggestions. Ken Dirkse spoke to Paul Grimes about the Directory. We have 4,000 coming in from adsales. The Chapter will make money on the Directory. The current Board wants to start working on the Directory in October 2023. This will give theNew Board a head start. Let’s give a big thanks to Josh Parks, Paul Grimes, Ken Dirkse and Adam Haynes for all theirhard work on the Directory. Hayward will be hosting a class on their new pump and heater.
