COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Administration DataJanuary 2021Iowa COVID-19 Vaccine Report Iowa healthcare providers administering COVID-19 vaccines are required to enroll in IRIS and reportCOVID-19 doses administered within 24 hours as part of the CDC COVID-19 Vaccination ProgramProvider Agreement. The Iowa Immunization Program uses data reported to the Immunization Registry Information System(IRIS) to track and monitor COVID-19 vaccine administration. The Iowa COVID-19 Vaccine Report will beupdated daily using IRIS data. The Iowa COVID-19 Vaccine Report data is updated daily. Updated data is independent of the date ofadministration and will include doses reported outside the 24-hour required reporting period. Vaccine administered data previously reported will change as additional doses administered data isreported to IRIS.Data limitations IRIS receives vaccine administered information on an ongoing basis. Vaccine administration data willcontinuously change as vaccine administration is reported to IRIS. IRIS does not capture information related to occupation or risk factors such as underlying healthconditions. It is not possible to include these factors in data reports.Measure Descriptions Total Doses Administered in Iowa: Number of COVID-19 vaccines administered by healthcare providersas reported to IRIS, including in-state and out-of-state residents. Out-of-state residents may be vaccinatedin Iowa if they meet the current phase criteria, such as an out-of-state healthcare provider working in Iowa. Doses Administered to Iowa Residents: Number of COVID-19 vaccines administered by healthcareproviders to individuals with an Iowa address as reported to IRIS. Doses Administered by County of Vaccine Provider: Number of COVID-19 vaccines administered bycounty of the COVID-19 vaccine provider location. This map indicates where COVID-19 vaccines havebeen administered in the state of Iowa. COVID-19 Vaccine Series Initiated and COVID-19 Vaccine Series Completed are distinct and nonoverlapping categories, with the following measure definitions:o COVID-19 Vaccine Series Initiated: Number of individuals that have received one dose of theCOVID-19 vaccine series, but have not completed the series. This category excludes individualsthat have received a completed COVID-19 vaccine series.oCOVID-19 Vaccine Series Completed: Number of individuals that have received all of therequired doses of the COVID-19 vaccine series. This category excludes individuals that havenot received a complete COVID-19 vaccine series.
