ARUBA ClearPass Proof Of Concept Bring Your Own Technology ProjectUpdate – 03/07/2014 Continued meetings with Aruba Engineers and Layer 3 Staff Engineers tofinalize the controller configurations and test the configurations operational capability at a schoollocation from each controller. These engineers continue to work at each school and test thecontrollers and make modifications if needed to make sure the POC will work during the roll out.Once we have tested all 16 controllers, we will move towards a roll out schedule. Currently, wehave (Roland Padilla and Engineers) completed and comfirmed configurations on 6 controllers. There are 10 more to go. Locations tested to date are the ISC, Danish Elementary, Windfern HighSchool, and Bang Elementary. A full schedule of schools to be tested will be coming.Update - 03/16/2014 Continued meetings with Aruba Engineers and Layer 3 Staff Engineers. Wefinalized all of the controller configurations (16) . We added all necessary ACL configurations forthe ClearPass allocations on the controllers. We also went through and verified the SSID settingsfor proper redirects once a client logs onto the system on each controller. Then we modified thetesting procedures to make sure we got through all the testing. So that we would not disrupt thecampuses, we reset some of the AP units to appear to be at a partucular location on a particularcontroller and then tested the system fro proper operation. This was all done at Bleyl MiddleSchool. All of the “skins” were also updated. The new look can be seen here below. The DII Teamis testing the new GPO push from the Zen window. Once this is properly tested through theirapproval process, we can begin rolling out the solution to the campuses. Hopefully that will startthis next week, and we can start notifying the campuses to begin trying the new SSID’s.
