Cochineal beetles live in the cacti, and their larvae areused to produce the natural food coloring of the same name.Visit the Cesar Manrique Foundation, custodian of the worksof the artistic genius. It is housed in what was Cesar Manrique’sown residence—El Taro de Tahiche. Taro is an island word for aconstruction of stones placed upon each other without the useof cement.
