2021ANNUAL REPORT

Year in ReviewWhen I take stock of where we ended 2021 as anassociation compared to where we were at thebeginning of my first term in January 2020, I amtruly amazed at the progression. As the pandemic restrictions eased, we got busyplanning typical association activities and lookingfor ways to continue transforming SumnerREALTORS into what we know it can andshould be. We created brand-new professionaldevelopment programs. We organized newfundraisers to serve the community. We hostedsocial events just to get members back togetherin person. We raised an impressive amount ofmoney for RPAC to support important advocacywork. And we showed up at every real estateoffice meeting that allowed us.Everything we did was focused on makingour association a more valuable professionalresource for our members, and I am extremelyproud of how we performed against the goals weset out to accomplish. Our entire culture has changed for the better, and faster than I could have imagined. It is bearingfruit in measurable ways, and it is a testamentto the Board, committees, volunteers, partnersand staff.Thank you for the opportunity to serve theassociation. It has been a sincere privilege.Shellie Young TuckerABR, CRS, C2EX, GRI2021 President

Looking AheadCulture. Membership. Stewardship. These three simple but powerful words encapsulatethe strategic plan for Sumner REALTORS in 2022.We want to continue building a culture ofprofessionalism and service, where everymember has a welcoming, positive experience. We want to grow membership so we have moreresources to offer free programs like the NewREALTOR Academy and ACE certification, issueCE scholarships for the second year in a row, anddeliver more overall value back to our members. We want to give REALTORS and Partnersmore ways to engage with the association. Weare launching a Young Professionals Networkchapter in Sumner County and have createda Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committeethat will lead local efforts to promote a moreinclusive real estate community. And we will never compromise on practicingfinancial stewardship. Members should haveconfidence in the association operating efficientlyand effectively, where dues dollars are alwaysreinvested for members’ benefit. The Executive Committee has charted a coursefor the future of this association and while wehave set some lofty goals, we believe we canachieve them if we stay focused on what matters. As you have conversations with other REALTORS and Partners about the association, in youroffice or at the closing table or anywhere in thecommunity, help us spread awareness aboutwhat we are doing by using these three words:culture, membership, and stewardship.Dave ChaneyC2EXChief Executive Officer
