McCoy College Admission

Acceptance to McCoy College Students with less than 30 hours are automaticallyaccepted into McCoy College if they receive assuredadmission to Texas State and meet the following criteria:– Top 25% of high school classOR– SAT score of 1200 (does not include writing score)OR– ACT score of 27 (does not include writing score)Students who are not automaticallyaccepted will be considered in thecompetitive review process.

Acceptance to McCoy College Students with 30 or more hours must have completedENG 1310, ENG 1320, and MATH 1329 to be eligible foradmission– Automatically accepted if they have an overall GPAof 3.0 on all transferable college-level coursework– Students denied admission to McCoy College or noteligible, may be considered for admission to TexasState as exploratory professionalStudents who are not automaticallyaccepted will be considered in thecompetitive review process.
