The role supports digital engineering for the NSC project team,providing technical advice, support and software training.The Digital Engineer Technician – Civil Structural ensures digital engineering benefits to theproject are identified and implemented to improve project outcomes. The role has responsibilityfor ensuring the data in digital engineering models is current and technically correct anddocumented. The role contributes to project management plans through documentation of specificsystems and will identify and resolve digital engineering issues within tenders and projects. 1OFFICIALKey outcomes required of the role Provide technical engineering support to the Digital Engineering Manager. Support the NSC Directorates of Engineering and Delivery to manage the Digital Engineeringprocesses, systems, and procedures, working within the project scope, budget and programconstraints. Coordinate with the survey team during project delivery to ensure accurate and timely fielddata capture and to promptly document and update the digital engineering models to ensureat all times accurate and current data informs the NSC Deliver and Engineering Directoratesdecision-making. Support the NSC project team, and other key stakeholders, with software training technicaladvice. Contribute to the development and maintenance of Project Management Plans, including thedocumentation of project specific systems and workflows for the NSC. Coordinate with the Department’s Asset Team to develop Asset Classification for the NSC. Modelling of utilities and services in coordination with the utilities and survey teams. Lead the identification on Digital Engineering benefits and associated implementation toimprove projects outcomes (including safety, quality, cost and time). Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all relevant statutory regulations, design andconstruction standards and codes applicable to projects. Selecting, adopting and contributing to the review of new professional discipline techniques,technologies and methodologies to resolve problems. Undertaking research, analysis, interpretation of findings and preparing technical documents,correspondence reports that support the management of assigned programs, projects, assets,systems and/or services. Maintaining records and systems and contributing to the development of professionalstandards, relevant statutory regulations, design and construction standards and codesapplicable to the project, programs, projects, assets, systems and/or services. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to address concerns associated with, and toprogress and provide input into, assigned programs, projects, systems and/or services. Contributing to a high standard of customer service for internal and external clients and qualitymanagement and risk. Recognize and resolve Digital Engineering issues on Tenders and Project.
