The six zonesare: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, FinsBois, Bon Bois and finally Bois Ordinaire. A blend of Grandeand Petite Champagne Cognacs, with at least half coming fromGrande Champagne, is known as Fine Champagne.

PAU LBE AUS E G ZO N A C - G R A N D E C H A M PA G N EThe Beau family is one of the oldest Bouilleurs de Cru – artisanalcognac distillers - in Segonzac, the heart of Cognac’s first growth, known as the Grande Champagne region. Samuel Beau starteddistilling in 1895, bottling and selling part of his cognacs under hisown name, which at that time was quite unusual. A majority of thevineyard is planted with the Ugni Blanc grape. On a tiny fractionColombard is grown.VS14VSOP18PAUL BEAU hors d’âge 26

They started selling the family’s cognac under theirown name in the early 1970’s instead of selling in bulk to thebig houses. NAVARREG O N D E V I L L E - G R A N D E C H A M PA G N EJacky Navarre is one of the last purists among the artisan cognacdistillers. The 4th generation of cognac makers in his family, locatedin Gondeville since in 1811, he takes care of his small GrandeChampagne estate with a very basic rule, “Let nature do (most of)the work.” Jacky makes a point to harvest by hand - a techniquelong ago forgotten by most in the Cognac area as it is not quitecompatible with the ever expanding race for who will put out themost branded cases on the market.NAVARRE30NAVARRE vieille reserve50

TESSERONB O N N E U I L - G R A N D E C H A M PA G N EThe history of the Tesseron family’s involvement in wine and spiritscan be accurately traced back to the 19th century, when AbelTesseron bought a cognac estate in Châteauneuf-sur-Charente,later to be named Domaine Tesseron. His father had been acognac producer as well, so the know-how ran in the family. Hesoon began a private collection of rare and priceless cognacs andfinally founded his own cognac house in 1905, Cognac Tesseron.LOT 76 xo25LOT 53 xo60LOT 29 xo120ROYAL BLENDTRÉSOR150186

This process of handing down from fatherto son now ensures the continuity and development of a uniqueexpertise, with the cornerstones remaining the soil, the vine andthe grape. The fact that the CAMUS family home le Plessis liesat the heart of the highly sought-after Borderies cru is proof of thisspecial attachment to the Cognac region.
