A message fromMAYORMICHAEL P. BYRNEI am pleased to announce that registration for our recreation programs isnow online through our city website (www.parmaheightsoh.gov), in addition to our traditional in-person registration events. Keep an eye out forother announcements in my Cityview Mayor’s newsletter, on our socialmedia, or on the electronic signboard in front of City Hall. One of the top priorities of my administration is to ensure that our Recreation Department offers a myriad of interesting programs for residentsof all ages. This brochure contains detailed information about the various programsand activities offered through our Recreation Department. The Recreation Department is also committed to exploring new programs and/orclasses. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, please feel freeto contact them at 440.884.9606 or recreation@parmaheightsoh.gov.In addition, we are pleased to have been awarded a 50,000 grant fromthe State of Ohio which will be dedicated to upgrading the floors, ceilings, lights, electrical and décor of the lower level of the Cassidy Theatre/Community Center. The result will be a fresh space available for programs, meetings and special events. The renovated community roomswill be available to residents for rent beginning in April of this year.If you haven’t done so already, I encourage you to take advantage of ourrecreational activities. Even something as simple as taking a walk to oneof our neighborhood parks or nearby Cleveland Metroparks, attending ashow at the Cassidy Theatre, or watching a youth ball game can be a greatway to get out, meet your neighbors and enjoy life in Parma Heights!Michael P. ByrneMayor
