Introduction:A two days Industrial Conclave and Investor Meet sponsored by Abdul Kalam TechnicalUniversity under Dean PGSR scheme and StartinUP was held at the Rajkiya EngineeringCollege Sonbhadra, from 13 May to 14 May, 2022. This investor meet was jointly organizedby Rajkiya Engineering College Sonbhadra and Edugyan Infotech Private Limited. Thisinvestor meet will provide an excellent platform to the investors and startups. The meet willhave several sessions in startups ecosystem. We believe that the participants will fully utilizethis opportunity to share their ideas and thoughts with the experts as well as fellow participants.In this conclave more than 20 Investors, 25 Startups, 20 Industry Delegates, MSMEOfficials, Industrial Chambers, relevant and competent Government authorities, OtherUniversity/College’s Vice-Chancellors/Directors, Mentors, Investors & Startups participantshave participated. This programme received more than 30 startups application for participationsin start-up’s presentations & prototype showcase out of which 4 have been selected for financialsupport. A total worth of 2 crores MOU has been signed between investors and RECS-IIEF towork jointly to support growing startups. In two days, program various session sessions namely,Cluster Based Development & Sustainable Livelihood, Start- up’s Presentations & PrototypeShowcase, Investors Speech, Start-ups Pitch Deck & Interaction with Investors, InvestorsSpeech, Opportunities and Future Scope in electric vehicle/ Agri-Food Processing Sector,support, grant/subsidy etc., We believe that this programme will provide all attendees anopportunity to enrich their knowledge and future interaction. The Conclave was attended bymore than 100 participants/delegates/investors//industry person/students from differentorganization.

Objective of Program:Main objectives of this conclave are as follows. To create an eco-system for startups and investment pool to supports early-stage startup by seedfund/venture fund or with angle fund. To establish a start-up/self-sustaining business incubation facility and innovation ecosystem in theREC, Sonbhadra by developing a robust infrastructure and providing conducive policy environment. To bring experts from industry/investors/mentors and academia together, brainstorm, identify theresearch problems in the focused areas of incubation center.This event shall give a new vision and spark in their life and they shall take a part in the mission Aatm-NirbharBharat & Sustainable Livelihood Program. The District Sonbhadra is a Power & Mineral Hub of India andsecond largest district of Uttar Pradesh as well 4th biggest tax payer district in Uttar Pradesh but unfortunatelythe area is very backward due to lack of knowledge, resources and opportunity.Arrival of Chief Guest Prof. P. MishraFuture ImpactDemographical:India's one of the aspirational districts which need lots of attention, support, and linkage to growexponentially, the "evolution" become a milestone for the district Sonbhadra and people arefinding new hope and direction toward self-reliant India.Through this event and continuous process of mobilization, people shall be more aware of theprogram, will register themselves, and become an active part of the startup ecosystem.The REC's Incubation Program is creating a history for the District. A minimum of 300 Activepeople shall be benefitted in the future from this program.Social:REC's incubation program is not offering only new-age startups yet invites multiple socialentrepreneurship models too by which the business shall affect and evolve society and its stackholders.In phase one, REC's Incubation Center shall incubate a minimum of three social enterprisesand try to build with help of Self-Help Groups that are already very active in the District.The core objective is to impanel 100 self-help groups and provideeffective training, marketing,and financial and legal support by incubation program.Financial:While more than 20 startups are going to emerge and boost business activities in the area, theper capita income and earnings of the direct/indirect manpower shall be increasedautomatically and shall also enable sustainable livelihood in the area. REC's incubationprogram made a target to build an economy of around 20 crores in the next three years andevolve a minimum of 300 direct beneficiaries.
