Why we supportTHE CAMPAIGNJayHarrington1977Forty-five years agoI had no idea whatbelonging to KappaSigma, and especiallyLambda-Xi, wouldmean to me aftergraduating from Georgia College. The opportunities of leadership, team building, networking and time management have been asignificant part of my life since. Knowing what Ilearned as a Brother has provided me with successthroughout my professional career. For that I amgrateful. Now that my career has begun to winddown, I look back and understand my success beganas a Brother in Lambda-Xi.It is now time that I give back a little of my treasureto support this cause ensuring that Kappa Sigmaand Lambda-Xi remain strong and the best. I hopeyou will feel the same.Derrick Knight1987I’m the new HousingCorporation Presidentand have a passion forthis chapter and theLegacy that it representsin my life. Kappa Sigmahelped mold me into agentleman and provided a framework for success duringthe crucial years of my young adulthood. Kappa Sigma hasbeen a part of my entire family’s life from my wife being a“little sister” to my oldest son being a Grand Master. Werecently initiated my youngest son into Kappa Sigma, andI look forward to the positive impact our brotherhoodwill have in his life as well. Let’s ensure the legacy ofLambda-Xi for many years to come by investing in thechapter house! This is an investment that will prove to bethe cornerstone for the chapters continued success foranother 50 years. Craig Henry carried the baton as faras he could and now, we must ALL step up to help finishthe race! Brothers, please consider giving generously tothis project as this is a way to give back to not only thechapter, but to also support their efforts in Fellowship,Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. AEKDB!John Hudson1993It has been 29 years since I became a part Lambda-Xi and Kappa Sigma. AllI knew back then was how fun it looked and I really didn't have the ability tocomprehend what it would mean for the rest of my life. My future was trulyimpacted in some way by every brother I was able to spend time with and itstill is to this day. My career was started by an introduction through a Fraternitybrother. I still have my paddles, the group portraits, and memories that gothrough my mind on a daily basis.(most of them I am pretty proud of). LambdaXi taught me about life, true brotherhood, true friendship, business, and so muchmore. If this project can impact just one person the way that our Fraternityimpacted me then it is money well spent. We have an obligation to continueto keep Lambda-Xi alive and well. Some of these young men need it now morethan ever before. Please join us in this endeavor in any way you can to keep thecandle burning!!!

Why we supportTHE CAMPAIGNTrey Ogle1994I’m the new Treasurer of The Craig Henry Foundation. When I took on this role, we unfortunately, were atcrossroads so to speak for the future of Lambda-Xi at GCSU. When I was an active brother, for what seemedlike just yesterday, we had a house that we were very proud of, in fact, we were the ONLY fraternity on campusthat owned a house. And while it was Craig Henry’s dream to have a fraternity row, that never was realized bythe powers that be at GCSU. However, having a house that we owned right next to campus was invaluable toour brotherhood as it was a meeting place for brothers to hang out, socialize, be visible to others, and a place forpotential rushees to visit. We displayed our historical accomplishments throughout it and proudly displayed ourtrophies and awards for others to see. The role of the house, at a height of Lambda-Xi's success, was invaluableat that time. That is the VERY reason why I felt it to be so IMPORTANT for us to save the house, not just for thememories, but for the very survivability of the future of Kappa Sigma at GCSU.The Phoenix Project (the house renovation) is going to be a HUGE undertaking but is one that I think is worth itat ALL costs if we want our chapter to survive. I’ve spoken to the active brothers, and they desperately want ahouse they can be proud of. With the current re-design, I believe we will be giving them exactly that. The redesigngives us a chapter hall in our house, something we’ve never had, and addresses a lot of changes that needed tobe made for the house to a viable solution for not only the future brothers that will live there but for the chapteritself. If all goes as planned and with EVERYONE’S support, I believe we will once again become the leaders oncampus that will breed leaders in business and as adults. Think back to what Kappa Sigma meant to you, what ithas done for you, what it taught you .and I think you will agree, we MUST do this for the current brothers and forgenerations of Kappa Sigma’s yet to come! We named this project, the Phoenix Project as a symbol of what thisundertaking represents, taking an old house that has served her purpose but has become worn down and raisingher from the ashes to soar with pride once again! I welcome your support and hope we’ll meet again in the NEW& IMPROVED KAPPA SIGMA INTERNATIONAL FRATERNITY HOUSE! Feel free to contact me at any time if youhave any questions or want to know how you can donate your financial support that is very much needed at thismost crucial time in our history!Manet Mansuraque Est.AEKDB
