Don’t just take my wordfor it Science today says that we caninfluence our outer world byinfluencing our inner world.Instead of being passive observers,we now have the power toparticipate in the world by usingour consciousness at a levelwhere it changes what we thinkand feel, which emotions weexperience and what we believe.Human consciousness and howwe focus is having a continuousand direct impact on the stuff thatholds our world together. So what does this mean? Does itmean that if I think a smiley, theworld will no longer be at war? There will no longer be famine? The answer is: Perhaps. If we allparticipate in this together. The key element is that changingfrom a passive observer to a participant allows you to change yourperspective, your world and thusyour reality.“Do you want to behappier? Do you wantto be more successful?Do you want to havebetter relationships?More money?Better jobs and evenbetteroverall health?”“Success begins in your mind”– Robert van der WolkYou have the power to startmaking the changes you wantand getting the kind of life you’vealways wanted. And it all begins inone place.Your mind.In this e-book I’ll share the latestinformation and some of the bestways to program your mind withsomething I like to call positivesoftware. Because our mind is justlike a supercomputer:what you put in, you take out.Perhaps you’ve heard it before, ormaybe you’re reading this for thefirst time. Having the rightmindset makes all the differencein the world. When you allowyourself to be open to chancesand opportunities, and seize themas they come along, or otherwisecreate them as they come up inyour mind, success will no longerbe just what happens to otherpeople. Before we start, I’d like to say onemore thing. Please don’t just accept what I’ve written in thise-book.These words are my truths, the experiences that I’ve gainedthroughout the years and thathave helped me become moresuccessful in life.Try them out for yourself, usethem and see if they work for you.Whatever you decide to believe,it’s your truth; your reality.

Why you could listen to me.It wasn’t until 2002 that I startedto magnify my own belief systemsand apply the techniques to usemy mind in a constructive andconsciously positive way.At that time I was almost 21years old, hadn’t graduated fromhigh school, had no money, nogirlfriend, no job and declininghealth.Doctors diagnosed me withdiabetes type 1 (which means mybody doesn’t produce any insulin)when I was just eight years oldand due to a constant irregularblood sugar level my eyes startedto fail slowly.Just after 2001 – when I managedto get one diploma for my efforts– my eyesight droppeddramatically. In fact, I rememberthat I woke up one August morning, after having a long party thenight before, and when openingmy eyes, seeing absolutely nothing. At first, I thought that it wasbecause I perhaps had drunk onetoo many. I went back to sleep inthe rational thought that it wouldwear off. However, after wakingup for the second time, conditionsweren’t changed.Frustration and fearcrawled up andshivered down myspine when I realizedthat this wasserious. I just lost myeyesight.I was blind! In the following two years I underwent over 35 laser-treatments(in fact, I lost count) and 8 intensive operations. Though they couldrestore most of my sight(up to 60 percent) the first time, having all these operations andlaser-treatments slowly decreasedmy sight every single time by a fewpercentages.By the time I was seeing a mere25 percent with my best eye, theywere still anxious to keep onoperating on me. When I asked ifthey could give me any prognosis, they simply didn’t give me anyanswer. For almost two days I managedI underwent one more operationto survive on my own. Though Iwas still living at my parents’ place, and that was the one that almostthey were on a holiday abroad and made me lose all of my eyesight.I was taking care of the house. It took me two years of opeAnd of course, when all thisrations, treatments and endlesshappened, it was Friday night, soappointments and visits to thefor the whole weekend I had tohospital to conclude in what kindtake care of myself without anyof situation I was fallen into:eyesight whatsoever. I bumpedinto almost everything and aftertwo days the house was a wreck.I had no job, no income, badMost of what I did I had to dohealth, almost no eyesightfrom my memory, and I can telland I was just one step awayyou that if you need to do thatfrom being unable to stepwithout any warning or practice, out of my depression.most things you will not find.By Monday I called the hospitaland on Tuesday they told me thatmy retina had let loose inside ofmy eye. They had to take immediate action to save whatever there wasleft saving.Nearly everything I wantedI didn’t have, and to top it off,I wasn’t able to see the worldanymore. And since we’re living in a visualworld, how would I manage tocreate and maintain a better life?

Change happens in aninstantHowever, due to certain‘accidents’ we call coincidences(which I think don’t exist),I managed to participate in aworkshop of NLP, NeuroLinguistic Programming. Now, if we fast-forward to 2011,I still have almost no eyesight. Infact, things didn’t become thatmuch better physically. Recently Ihad to start dialysis because theconditions of both my kidneyswere so bad. That notificationMy mother was doing somecame as a huge shock. But stillcourses and even though I thought – even with this new ‘setback’ I’veshe was getting brainwashed, shelearned to change my mind topersuaded me to come to one ofwards more positive things in life, the workshops.to enjoy more, to create success. In this workshop I managed tochange one tiny, but absolutelyessential bit of my ownbelief-system, which allowed meto ‘see’ things in a less negativeway. For me this changed theworld! And it all happened in thatmoment. It wasn’t that I was no longersuffering from majordepressions or lack of visiontowards the future, but it showedme that under the circumstancesit’s my mind and my perceptionthat has the biggest influence onwhat my reality is going to looklike. From that moment on, changeswere following up on each other, and I got hooked to continuouslyimproving myself by getting rid ofmy old, non-supportingbelief-systems and acquiring newones that did support me.With a university degree inHuman Resources ,a Master-Practitioner and Trainerdiploma in NLP and Bodywork, and a record of nearly 100international trainings and courseson personal development – evenfrom some of the most inspiringpeople I ever met: Brian Tracy,Richard Bandler, Robert Dillts,Frank Farrelly, Nisandeh Neta andmany more, my life has startedto take the road to the life I’vealways dreamt of.My own international trainingcompany Choicepoint – in whichI empower kids, adolescents andyoung professionals to fulfill moreof their potential and to breakthrough non-supportive habitsand beliefs allows me to awakenthe possibilities in others and tocreate a better world. And recently my first book on mypilgrimage toSantiago de Compostella (whichis a route through Spain for over600 miles) was published. Alongwith this e-book and many, manyother accomplishments I can’t sayI’m not living my dreams. All these successes have one thingin common. They all started out inmy mind.During the course of this e-bookI’ll show you where most of us arestanding right now (being focusedon the negative things) and wherethat’s coming from. I’ll share withyou what a positive mindset cando for you, why it is absolutelynecessary you startre-programming your beliefstowards positivity today, andforemost, how you can do this andget the results you want.I’ll share with you techniques thatthe top trainers like Brian Tracy,Tony Robbins and Zig ziglar givein their trainings and seminars, sothat you can get the maximum outof this e-book.“Success begins inyour mind. And it startstoday.”

Master Mindset

Chapter 1 – What Is PositiveThinking?Positive thinking won’t let you doanything. People who say, “Withpositive thinking you can do justabout anything”, are usually eitherignorant or living in Utopia.I’m 28 years old, severe visuallychallenged, dealing with Diabetesand chronic kidney insufficiency;no matter how positive I wouldthink, I wouldn’t be able to runand win the New York marathon.Whether you think youcan or think you can’t,you’re right.Nor would I be able to do anynuclear physics, or perform anykind of surgery on you, and ensureIf you choose between positiveyou that you would stay alive.Positive thinking won’t let you do thinking and negative thinking, theonly difference is that withanything.positive thinking your outcomewill not be determined in eitherBut positive thinking will let youdo everything. At least, more than disappointment, feeling like afailure or depression.negative thinking will. You see, positive thinking will help you useyour abilities. And honestly, that’sjust all you need. So, if you choose to have apositive mindset, you make theabsolute very best choice. It willchange your self-image, will getyou the best results and will allowyou to make the best choices inyour life. But what is positivethinking?“A child getsnegative feedback eighttimes more oftenthan positivefeedback ”(among which author J. Allan Petersen’s The Myth of the Greener Grass1As we grow up, we strangelyenough are faster acquainted withnegative thinking than we are withpositive thinking. When I readChet Helmstetter’s book I noticedone ting in particular: on average,an American child gets negativefeedback eight times more oftenthan positive feedback.By the time the kid is 18 years ofage, he or she’s been told 148,000times ‘no’ or ‘you can’t do it’,which both aren’t parts of positivethinking. Now I live in Europe, butI can tell you, there’s hardly anydifference. The numerous times I’ve heardparents tell their spouse they can’ttouch anything while shopping forgroceries. Recently I even heard amother yelling at her two year oldwhy the heck he wasn’t shuttingup, because he was driving himcrazy. It’s somehow in our culture;the comparisons we make withothers, the continuous attentionto negative news on the mediainfluences us much more than welike to admit, and the way we talkto ourselves and others has a bigimpact if we have a positive mindset or not. It’s your terminology, the wayyou use our language that showsyourself and others how youthink. Studies1 show that over 90percent of our daily informationwe take in, is of a negative nature.

I was shocked when I read that, and I even didn’t believe this atfirst. So I checked it out, to see ifthey were right. And guess what? They are.You might know negative thinkingpeople from your own environment. From the obvious personthat keeps on complaining aboutwhat’s wrong and that everythingis going to turn out for the worst(even the weather), to the unaware negative thinker, who says totheir child “don’t panic when thedoctor gives you your first anti-fluinjection”.FocusPerhaps you’re not entirelysatisfied with what you alreadyhave, and you wish to acquiremore in your life, whetherbusiness or career wise, financially, health wise, in your relationshipsor in your personal life. It’s this focus that brings gratitude, which in result brings more joyand happiness into life than tofocus on what you don’t you have.A negative mindset and negativethinking would not be open towhat is already there andtherefore would not find it easierto start new things andaccomplish any objectives. To have a positive mindset meansto focus on what is there, insteadof focusing on what isn’t there. Now this may sound quitesimplistic, but let me clarify what Imean with this.If you take a look around in yourlife for what you have right now– a place you can call ‘home’, somemoney in the bank and materialthat allows you to do what you doand to do what you like. When I started to improve mylife consciously, I was focusing oneverything: meaning I was tryingto do it all at once. Now, for somethis may work, but what I realizedwas that this was a clear cut caseof everything BUT focus. My mind was so shattered thatI wasn’t even able to see whatalready was there. My ‘main focus’ (if we could speakof that) was to do as much aspossible in the shortest timepossible. This meant for me, that I wasn’tgrateful for what I already had inmy life, but that I was only lookingfor the things that I wasn’t having. In short, there wasn’t much positive to focus on.Map of theworldIt has been said that differentpeople witnessing th
