To be held at Phillip Island Circuit. The Circuit is 4.45 km in length, and racing will be in an anticlockwise direction.Entries open on publication of these Regulations and close on 3rd February 2022.Entry fee for the meeting will be 395There are two grids Masters Series ( over 40’s) and Trophy Series ( under 40’s)Each Competitor must hold a Motorsport Australia Competition Licence unless they comply with (a) or (b) below.Each Driver must hold a minimum of a Motorsport Australia Provisional Clubman Circuit competition or;(a)(b)InsuranceRace erBriefingRacing StartsGeneralhold a MotorSport New Zealand competition licence and Tasman Visa valid for the Event; orhold a minimum of the highest-grade National Licence issued by a foreign ASN together with an authorisationissued by that ASN for the Event; each such Driver and Competitor:i.shall be ineligible to score points in any Championship/Cup/Series/Trophy/etc. connected with theEvent; andii.must receive an authorisation to compete from Motorsport Australia prior to the Event.Email to sprint.secretary@piarc.com.auor enter online via Motorsport Australia event entry www.motorsport.org.auCertain public, property, professional indemnity and personal accident insurance is provided by MotorsportAustralia in relation to the event. In the case of a tie the winner of the highest placevehicle of these tied on points will be declared the winner. Grids will be 2x2. Grid position determination willbe as per Race Meeting Standing Regulations 5.3 Grid positions – Progressive Grid.Race Starts will be Non-Championship Standing Start as per Steps 2 and 3 of Race Meeting StandingRegulation 6.4(i) Start Procedure.Flags or lights will be used for starting. The event will be conducted on a day with 95dB(A) noise limits.Any protests must be lodged in accordance with Part XII of the National Competition Rules of MotorsportAustralia.Abandonment, cancellation and postponement will be in accordance with NCR 59.Electronic timing will be used. Trophies will be awarded for 1st/2nd/3rd in each class, provided there are five(5) genuine entriesCompetitors to complete Motorsport Australia Self Scrutiny Declaration and ChecklistCompetitors and Drivers Licences will be checked prior to the event electronically using Motorsport Australiacompetition and event platform.Vehicle logbooks must be provided by the competitor at the venue to the designated location as outlined inFurther Regulations.All Driver apparel shall be in accordance with Schedule D of the current Motorsport Australia Manual.Driver Briefing notes will be emailed out prior to event.Approx. 10.45 a.m.Fuel must be in accordance with Schedule G of the MA Manual.ALCOHOL, DRUGS AND OTHER SUBSTANCESAny holder of a Motorsport Australia ‘Competition’ or ‘Officials’ licence (or equivalent licence issued byanother ASN) may be tested for the presence of drugs (or other banned substances) and subject to apenalty(ies) for a breach in accordance with the Motorsport Australia Anti-Doping Policy and/or theMotorsport Australia Illicit Drugs in Sport (Safety Testing) Policy as published on the Motorsport Australiawebsite. Consumption of alcohol in the paddock, pits or any section of the competition venue/course underthe control of the Officials is forbidden until all competition is concluded each day. Accordingly, any holder ofa Motorsport Australia ‘Competition’ or ‘Officials’ licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) mayalso be tested for the presence of alcohol by a Motorsport Australia Accredited Testing Official (CATO) inaccordance with the Motorsport Australia Standard Operating Procedure for Breath Alcohol TestingGATES OPEN 7.00 A.M.TRACK TO BE VACATED BY 6.00 P.M.

JUDICIAL VIDEO CAMERA & RECORDING DEVICE1.Each automobile must carry a fully operational Digital Video Camera (DVC) and RecordingDevice (RD) and any associated Camera Equipment (CE) to ensure the full functionality andrecording capability of the Camera in each practice, qualifying and racing session at each round.2.The Camera system must be supplied by the Competitor/Driver and authorised by the CategoryManagement (CM).3.The DVC, RD, CE and any associated equipment must be installed in the automobile, to thesatisfaction of the Chief Scrutineer, with the camera pointed in a forward direction with a field ofvision sufficiently wide to record clearly, and without obstruction at all times, the driver’s view ofthe track ahead.4.The Competitor/Driver is required to ensure that the Camera is switched on and functioning inthe correct manner prior to the automobile entering the circuit for each practice, qualifying andracing session and remain operational for the entire duration of each session.5.Access to the DVC, RD, CE and any associated equipment must be provided to techniciansappointed by CM at any time upon request.6.No person other than authorised personnel shall interfere with the Camera, other than toremove and replace the Secure Digital Memory (SD) card.7.When requested, a Competitor/Driver must immediately provide the SD card from theirautomobile to CM, the Clerk of the Course and/or Stewards upon request.8.Each video file recorded on the camera must be viewable on a standard video player or computerusing Windows Media Player or VLC software.9.The recorded images must provide appropriate detail and be of sufficient quality to allow the CM,the Clerk of the Course and/or Stewards to adjudicate on any on track incident.10.Each camera SD card must be clearly marked with the competition number of the automobile towhich it is installed.11.The SD card must remain available in the camera for thirty (30) minutes after each on tracksession.12.The images stored on an SD card is not permitted to be deleted/cleared until after the completionof each Round and only with the written approval of CM.13.Every Competitor must have a spare SD card available for each of their automobiles to ensure noimages are lost and for instances where the original SD card may be required for examination bythe Clerk of Course and/or Stewards.14.Any error, action, omission or failure which causes a loss of, or failure to produce, any video imageshall be investigated and may be referred to the Stewards.15.Footage is not permitted to be deleted during the Event from any SD Card without the permissionof CM.VEHICLE SIGNAGE REQUIREMENTS1.Each car MUST display any signage (sponsor decals), together with its required location, asdirected Hyundai Excel Racing Association Vic. Inc. (HERA Vic. Inc.). INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE DECLARATIONInstructions: It is recognised that the Competitor and the driver may be the same individual and the Competitors Licencewill be common to both. This check will take between 10min and 30 min. The Competitor is responsible for providing sufficient equipment andpersonnel to enable all disassembly that may be required, under the supervision of the scrutineers. As a minimum this will requirethat the car be lifted from the ground and all 4 wheels be removed. The removal of the airbox and/or air cleaner may also berequired in many cases to enable engine inspection. If there are pressing reasons why you cannot attend at the appointed time,contact the Chief Scrutineer as soon as possible and it may be possible able to arrange an alternative time.
