Kraxberger NewsMay 2014Page 2Eighth GradeJune ActivitiesWEDNESDAY, JUNE 4THLast Regular School Day for Eighth Grade StudentsThis is the last regular day for eighth grade students. All textbooks and school materialsmust be returned, any financial responsibilities clear, and hall lockers cleaned out. All feesand fines must be paid prior to attending the 8th grade field trip and receiving ayearbook.THURSDAY, JUNE 5THEighth Grade Field Trip to Oaks ParkEighth grade students with responsible behavior through the end of the school year will beinvited to participate in this field trip. Students who have outstanding debts (registrationfees, missing library or text books, damaged textbooks, etc.) will be asked to pay their feesbefore attending this field trip. Students must pre-pay for admission to the park/rides andtransportation ( 10.00). Students will be responsible to purchase their own lunch at OaksPark or bring a sack lunch from home or request in advance a sack lunch from the cafeteria.Eighth Grade RecognitionStudents must be passing all 3rd trimester classes to participate.Students practice for the Recognition Ceremony at 2:00 p.m. in the GHS Gym and will bedismissed at approximately 3:30 p.m. Those students participating in the Oaks Park fieldtrip will be transported directly to GHS for the practice. All students will need to make arrangements for their own transportation home when the practice concludes. Students notgoing to Oaks Park do not report to Kraxberger on this day and will need to make arrangements for their own ride to GHS. The night of Recognition calls for nice dress, as would beappropriate for a special family gathering or church.Eight Grade PartyBegins immediately following Recognition and goes until 10:00 p.m. This party, sponsoredby eighth grade parents, is for current Kraxberger eighth grade students only (guests arenot allowed). There is no cost to students and dress is casual.ALL Students — Classroom Textbooks DueWednesday, May 21stParents Please make sure your students have turned all classroom textbook into their teachers by the endof the day Wednesday, May 21st , or you will be charged for lost or unreturned books.Eighth graders need to have all their books turned in to be able to go on the Oaks Park FieldTrip or receive their yearbooks.
