The key with each patient is to identify whatintervention is necessary in order to achieve theirgoals. This requires dietary changes. This almost always requires a period of time takingnutritional supplements.
Effective Supplements In my professional opinion,without the ability to use effective nutritionalsupplements patients would not have been able toachieve the improvements they have. These vital tools of the trade have been invaluable topatients’ favourable outcomes.
Effective Supplements After 21 years of careful study and use in over13,000 patients, I am still learning how to usesupplements in the most effective manner. Often, it is a sophisticated thing to know whatsupplements to use, but what is key is that thesupplement in question does what it does.

Intenzyme Forte (BRC)
Intenzyme Forte (BRC) Intenzyme Forte is a source of animal & plant enzymes. Thismakes it suitable for supporting the digestion of the wide rangeof foods that require different pH within the GI tract. A.D.P. (BRC) A.D.P. provides 50 mg of carvacrol, the active oreganoextract, per tablet. It has been patented for being able toeradicate Blastocystis Hominis. Humic Acid (BRC) In clinical practice, Humic Acid has been found to bea very effective supplement to inhibit viruses inparticular, but can also inhibit a range of othermicrobes. Humic Acid is also useful to help bind to toxins inthe GI tract and facilitate their transport out of thebody. It effectively helps to neutralise toxins andthen carry them out of the body.
Humic Acid (BRC) Humic acid contains a wide range of essentialminerals, and it can increase cell wall permeability,facilitating transport of minerals to the cells. Humicacid has antioxidant activity, and supports a generalsense of well-being. Dosing is usually 1 with each meal, and sometimesmore than this. Saccharomyces Boulardii (ARG)
Saccharomyces Boulardii (ARG) S. Boulardii is a beneficial, probiotic yeast, wellresearched & documented to support gut immunity,& in particular Secretory Immunoglobulin A (SIgA),which can be tested for in saliva. This strain does not grow in the gut & is a noncolonising yeast. It aggressively displacesproblematic yeast species in the gut. It has long been used in Europe as an anti-diarrhoeaagent.
Saccharomyces Boulardii (ARG) Over 240 human studies confirm the benefits of S.Boulardii. S.B. also inhibits a bacterium called ClostridiaDifficile which is commonly found in conditions suchas Austistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) but may alsobe a factor in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases such asCrohn’s.
Saccharomyces Boulardii (ARG) S.B. produces lactic acid & some B vitamins as itbecomes established in the gut. It is eliminated in 3days once supplementation is stopped. In stool analysis it maybe identified asSaccharomyces cerevisiae – which is baker’s yeast –since the labs are unable to make the distinctionbetween species.
Saccharomyces Boulardii (ARG) In clinical practice, S.B. is suitable for those withweakened mucosal and gut immunity & those withdysbiosis. Typical dosing is 1 with two or three meals a day. Inchildren, doses can be titrated from a tiny amountupwards. If an individual has IgE or IgG yeast allergy then thisproduct should not be taken.
Lactobacillus GG (ARG)
Lactobacillus GG (ARG) This probiotic is the world’s most well documentedfriendly bacteria, with at least 210 papers relating toits health benefits. Lactobacillus GG is an extensively studied lactose &dairy free strain of friendly intestinal bacteria,naturally occurring in the digestive tract. Lactobacillus rhamnosus LGG is a subspecies ofLactobacillus casei. It was discovered & patented byresearchers Drs. Gorbach & Goldin at TuftsUniversity.
Lactobacillus GG (ARG) LGG is a member of the L. acidophilus family offriendly probiotic bacteria. To date it is the beststudied & most extensively documented probioticlactic acid bacteria strain in the world, containing 30billion viable organisms per capsule. Lacto GG adheres well to the intestinal lining,helping to oust unwelcome microbes includingcandida & unwanted bacteria. It supports SIgAlevels, & works in synergy with S. Boulardii.
Lactobacillus GG (ARG) Lacto GG helps to reduce incidence in children’sallergy conditions such as eczema & asthma whentaken by breast-feeding mothers. It is safe to take during pregnancy. FibroBoost (ARG) FibroBoost (ARG) contains extract of EckloniaCava which is a potent effective antioxidant knownas Seanol-F which is both water and fat soluble. Seanol-F contains phlorotannins, polyphenoliccompounds not found in terrestrial plants but only incertain brown algal species. Phlorotannin-rich extracts of E. cava showsignificant antioxidant activities, including DPPHradical scavenging, ferric ion reduction, peroxynitritescavenging, and inhibition of LDL oxidation.
FibroBoost (ARG) As well as modulating levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS), phlorotannins may modulate levels of PGE2,cytokines and prostaglandins. Seanol-F supports normalfunction of the nervous system, and metabolism. It can increase alpha wave production, an indication ofincreased relaxation. Human studies also show that itcan promote daytime wakefulness, likely due toincreased blood flow and oxygenation. Subjects given Seanol-F fell asleep faster, slept longerand reported increased soundness of sleep. They felt itincreased their energy levels and improved their generalcondition.
FibroBoost (ARG) Unlike polyphenols derived from land plants, Seanol’spolyphenols are 40% oil-soluble. They can pass theblood-brain barrier, & they have a much longer metabolichalf-life than that of the usual hydrophilic polyphenols:up to 12 hours vs. typically 30 minutes. Studied since 1992, in-vitro studies, animal studies, andhuman trials have consistently shown that Seanolcompounds have health promoting promise with noevidence of toxicity. Lactobacillus Plantarum, Rhamnosus, Salivarius(ARG) Provides particularly hardy strains of lactobacilli &helps maintain a healthy intestinal probiotic balance. The strains support the structure and functionalintegrity of the epithelial lining in numerous ways &may boost immune response and support resistance. The salivarius strain has an affinity for the stomach,and offers support for stomach conditions includingH. pylori infections, but the L. Zen (ARG)
Zen (ARG) 200mg of Zen contains GABA & L-Theanine, both ofwhich are amino acids that are naturally occurring.L-theanine is found in Green Tea (& may offset itscaffeine content). Both these amino acids have been found to have acalming effect in the brain – by supporting calmingneurotransmitter levels. The product originates from trials in Japan, whichhelps to explain the name.
Zen (ARG) It is a non-addictive, non-accumulative, non-sedative, chill pill. Helps keep mental alertness &focus. Typically, the more one uses, the less oneneeds. In clinical practice, it has been found to help withstress, anxiety, depression, a sense of beingoverwhelmed, poor decision making, insomnia dueto restless mind, general restlessness, feeling of tiredbut wired, irritability, nervousness, phobia (e.g. fearof driving tests or flying), & has a good record ofhelping with panic attacks.
Zen (ARG) Patients naturally re-order the product, helping toconfirm its efficacy. If sleep is interrupted by anover-active mind, then 200 mg of Zen could alsohelp this type of insomnia (although it is not asedative). It can also work in animals, & we have reports thatdogs & horses have benefited from Zen.
Zen (ARG) A typical dose may be 1 capsule on an empty stomach(although it still has benefits when taken with food)once or twice a day. Its effects are felt in about 30-45minutes, & the effects last for about 4-5 hours. Up to 3 caps per day could be taken but this isusually not needed. The product can also simply betaken as needed. There is only one class of medication with which 200mg Zen may interact (see below) & is fine whentaken with anti-depressants called SSRIs (SelectiveSerotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) such as Prozac.

Acute needs may warrant threescoops per day, whereas chronic issues may sufficewith one scoop per day.
