3. Have the new laws had any impact on your court’s/city’s decision to get or continue with aJCM?a. Yes696%b. No83573%c. No Response23521%If yes, please explain: We recently began handling truancy cases. Increased volume. Court is handling more truancy/failure to attend cases. Funding now available. Funding for the position. We stopped collecting. Tried to work with county and county did not seem interested. It is good to be able to pay expenses in addition to salaries. We discontinued the JCM because of the new type of job and budgetary constraints. We rarely collect money on a jury case to collect the JCM fee. Low volume didn't have enough activity to require JCM full time. Have community service coordinator - Deals primarily with juveniles but will notcollect fee. I have no administrative role. We see so many juveniles. If can better address needs/follow up on cases. Added an additional JCM to assist with case load. In the process of getting JCM. Reporting to judge is positive improvement. That we the city could get one. Since we don't have FTAS cases, we are now amenable to JCM for its otherfunctions. JCM do not report to the court. Cities passed new ordinances. Will be under discussion with city. The economy has. Hiring and wage freezes. Considering getting one. Will maintain JCM regardless. We are looking at whether a JCM can assist the court and worth it. Made us get one.

We are considering it.New filing of failure to appear made us get JCM.To move the JCM's to be under police department instead of the Judge. We have been able to have a JCM unit to assist and improve truancy. The JCM can now be part-time.Now can use fund for more than just salary.Increase resources.Good laws.We no longer have juvenile truancy cases in Missouri City, TX.Case Manager is new this year.Working on it.I don't know. Not enough money set back to hire one.Consideration being given. We will be self-supporting for 2 in 11 mo. But hiring was delayed-solved it with agrant from the school district.Unsure.Have a school resource ofc. Some discussion.Too small of town. The JCM is needed to help out judges manage our case load.We feel more comfortable with JCM now.Professional requirements resulted in resignation of 1 or more employees. Staffmore remote from Judges (other than PS).Better management of juvenile case more efficiently. They are now considering it.No JCM, no fee.We would like to employ a JCM.Because there is to pay for JCM.I am begging for a JCM but have resistance from the city attorney and city counsel. .The legislation stalled hiring of position when vacant because staff was afraid to actuntil legislation was done.We are working toward implementing JCM.Our juvenile court handles all the JCM and anything else related to juveniles.
