Opening in 1983in Toledo, Ohio, we expanded to ourcurrent location in Dania Beach, Florida(just south of Fort Lauderdale) in 1986.After extensive facility improvementswe began operations in 1993 with theworld's first 360 field-of-view FullMission bridge simulator, and a secondupgrade was to our 270 field-of-viewbridge simulator in 2004. We now offermore U.S. Coast Guard and other flagapproved courses than any simulationtraining center. These courses meetUSCG, STCW, and IMO Modelrequirements as well as many additionalcourses designed by our in-housecurriculum development team to meetcompany-specific training requirements.STAR Center is ISO 9001 certified and iscommitted to provide the worldwidemaritime community with quality marineSimulation, Training, Assessment &Research products and services.STAR Center features the most advancedsimulation training equipment including a 360 bridge, engine room, liquid cargo, diesel electric,RADAR / ARPA, and GMDSS simulators.STAR Center also features in-house modelingcapabilities for port development, research, andforensic maritime studies.
