Fiber Optic CableOptical fibers from a choice of major cable manufacturers are available in several grades tomanage the bandwidth requirements of today's voice, data and video networks.Single ModeEnhanced single mode (ESMF) features improved attenuation and optical loss performance. Now the standardoffering for long haul, metro/campus applications, Fiber-to-the-home (FTTh) and premise networks. Low andZero Water Peak (better performance across all wavelengths), Non-Zero Dispersion-Shifted (NZDF) and bendinsensitive versions are available. Used in all constructions including loose tube, tight buffer, ribbon and centraltube designs.MultimodeMultimode fiber (MM) provides superior performance for many short distance and premise networks withdemanding bandwidth applications and Gigabit transmission speeds. Standard grade 62.5 FDDI to Laster-optimized 50µm versions are available. Many constructions are available to meet the needs for all outdoor and indoorapplications.Gel FreeManufacture defines "gel free" fiber optic cables as cables with no water blocking gel between or in thebuffer tubes. Cables with no water blocking gel between the buffer tubes only are described as dry.Fiber Selection ChartGradeFiberSize (µ)Jacket Color ChartStandardsComplianceLinkLength (m)DataRate (Gb)Multimode650/125exceedsTIA/EIA-568-B.3-1ISO 11801 0M3550/125TIA/EIA-568-B.3-1ISO 11801 25FDDI grade----5001030010†Cable TypeJacket ColorLoose Tube & Outside PlantBlackIndustrial TrayOrangeTight Buffered Grades 2, 3, 4OrangeTight Buffered Grades 5, 6AquaTight Buffered Single ModeYellowNon-standard jacket colors are available upon requestFiber Sub-Unit Color Code ChartFiber/Tube No.Single Mode*--ITU G.652.c/d††*Multiple single mode grades and constructions in stock.
