Successful candidateswill qualify to enroll in the following programmes.OBJECTIVESThe Department has the aim to: Provide integrated academic and liberal studies in various forms to meetthe varying needs of students and society. DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTANCY STUDIESHND FASHION DESIGN AND TEXTILE STUDIESThe Department of Accountancy Studies (DOAS), currently under the Schoolof Business and Management Studies was established in 1986 in the thenBusiness Studies Department to offer Diploma in Business Studies and RoyalSociety of Arts (Accounting option). It subsequently had accreditation in 1992to run a full-time Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy Studies.ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Recently, owing to numerous calls from our alumni, some employers and otherstakeholders, the department has initiated activities aimed at gettingaccreditation for the introduction of Bachelor Technology (B-Tech) degreeprogrammes in Accounting & Finance, HND Banking & Finance, HND MicroFinance, and HND Auditing & Forensic Studies to offer students with muchmore options for their desired career prospects.The Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) withKumasi Technical University to run a Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) degreeprogramme in Accounting with Computing, starting from the 2013/2014academic year and HND Accounting with computing starting from 2015/2016academic year. The department has also received the approval from NABPTEXto run Diploma in Computerized Accounting, and Banking Technology &Accounting. OBJECTIVESThe department aims at providing hands-on competitive accounting educationand skills to enable our products undertake efficient career roles in theirendeavours.
