August 2nd, 1954. Rev. Noel Taylor was in charge ofthe devotions. Maurice Schenck led the conference in singing "He Lives" and"I Will Praise Him." Rev. Paul Knight led irs prayer. Maurice Schenck sang"Under His Wings," after which Rev. 0. L. King read the scripture lessonfrom John 4:34-38.Rev. Melvin H. Snyder, District Superintendent, introduced to the conference, Rev. L. W. Sturk, General Superintendent. Rev. Sturk gave a challenging message on "Our Objectives to the Church."The Conference joined in singing the chorus of "We'll Work Till JesusComes," then Rev. L. W. Sturk called the conference to order.The Secretary, Rev. James Hertel, called the Ministerial and Lay Delegate Rolls.Motion prevailed that the conference bar consist of the three southSections of the tabernacle back to the center aisle, including the platform.Motion prevailed that the time of the sittings be from 8:30 a. m. to11:30 a. m., 1:30 p. m. to 4:30 p. m. and 7:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. mMotion prevailed that the time of the meals for the Conference be asfollows: Breakfast 7:00 a. m., Dinner 12:00 noon, and Supper 5:00 p. m.Motion prevailed that Rev.
