Patrons utilize a small hand-heldreceiver with one earpiece, leaving the opposite ear available to hearthe dialogue and action occurring on stage. An audio describeroccasionally speaks “between the lines” to describe entrances, exits,actions, and key props to people who cannot see them. In addition,before the show and during intermission, the describer “sets up” for theperformance by detailing the stage layout, props, characters, andcostumes.
