Please, therefore, do not allow a casualattitude to threaten the quality of the work you present. During the exam period the School will guide youabout regulations for the exams. Four general points should be noted now:1. The award of the CertHE, DipHE or Degree is conditional not only on the passing of examinations, but on thesatisfactory completion of all course material, attendance at lectures and seminars as well as the paymentof fees. Students may be refused entry to an exam if required coursework has not been completed beforethe start of the examinations or fees have not been paid.2. You should note that where bad handwriting makes answers illegible, students may be required tohave their answers typed, by dictating their answers to a typist (who may not make alterations) under thesupervision of a tutor or other senior person. Students will be responsible for the cost involved.3. Following external assessment, students who require a disability allowance will be notified by theCompliance and Disability Officer of any allowances due to them for example extra time, supervised breaks, use of laptop at least three weeks prior to the examination.4. The complete year’s timetable of assessments and examinations may be found on the VLE and will alsobe emailed to all students.5. Reassessment opportunities are offered in August and September of each year. If you are offered theopportunity for reassessment then holidays should not be booked in this period as holidays cannot beaccommodated.
