Areas of emphasis will be on total body sports specific conditioning as well asas skills and strategies of the sport.Class Schedule DescriptionIntended to prepare future or current athletes for the championship season.AdvisoryMedical clearance on file.Student Learning OutcomesThe student will:1. Student-athletes are expected tobe in class each and every day. You are expected to notify the instructor, BEFORE MISSING, as to any reason whyyou will need to miss. Should you accumulate more than 6 absences, you may risk failing the course; thus, If youhappen to have 7 absences before the drop date, it will be YOUR responsibility to drop yourself from the course.The last day to drop the class without getting an “F” is (see Ohlone College 2015-16 Academic Calendar). Yourdaily attendance is necessary for you to comprehend the material and eventually pass the course.Class ConductCell phone usage (talking or texting), listening to music on headphones, discriminatory or inappropriate remarks,or disruptive behavior will not be allowed. Should any of these occur, you will be warned once. Should thebehavior or infraction happen a second time (at any time the rest of the semester), you will be asked to leave classfor that day. You will not be allowed to turn in any other class work from that day. Also, computers are to be usedfor class work, not for surfing the web. Due to this being an intercollegiate athletic prep course, you areexpected to adhere to all team rules. Any rules that are violated are subject to disciplinary measure in the formof running, suspension, extra duties, loss of privileges, and/or possibly more or other.PlagiarismPlagiarism is passing off someone else’s work as your own. This has recently become a major problem amongstudents with the increased availability of papers on the internet. This is NOT conduct that will be allowed ortolerated. Any work found to be plagiarized will result in a “0” for the assignment. This could also result inpossible sanction from the school. DON’T choose the lazy, unprofessional, and unethical route.
