Identify, evaluate and solve defined, routine and new problemswithin the business management context. Respond and adjust appropriately to the need for change, broughton by a rapidly changing environment in which businesses operate. Harness creativity from oneself and others to initiate and inspireinnovation towards solving business problems in a turbulentenvironment. Harness creativity and innovation from oneself to initiate newbusiness ideas and business ventures in the spirit of bothentrepreneurship and intrapreneurship. Work effectively within prescribed organisational and professionalethical codes of conduct, values and principles in the businessmanagement field.

Communicate information reliably, accurately and coherently, usingconventions appropriate to the business management context. Recognise the organisation as a system, its constituent parts, andshow how actions in one area impact on other areas within thesame system. Recognise that one’s actions must be accounted for, and thatone must strive to work effectively with and respect others, withspecific reference to the context of management and leadership.What qualification you will receiveOnce you’ve completed this programme, you will earn an NQF Level6, 360 credit qualification. This Diploma is registered with the SouthAfrican Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and accredited by the Councilof Higher Education (CHE). You will receive your qualification subjectto successfully completing all required assessments and exams,having settled any outstanding fees, and submitted all requireddocumentation.Certificates will be awarded at a formal graduation ceremony ordelivered via courier.

Entry requirementsThe following minimum entrance requirements apply:1. A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Diploma endorsementwith: a t least 40% in English, and at least 40% in Mathematics or 50% in Mathematical Literacy;or2.A Senior Certificate (SC) with: at least an E symbol, on Standard Grade level, in English, at least an E symbol, on Standard Grade level, in Mathematics;or3. A National Certificate (Vocational (NCV) with appropriate subjectcombinations and the following levels of achievement: a minimum of 50% in three fundamental subjects includingEnglish, AND a minimum of 60% in three compulsory vocational subjects, or a Higher Certificate or Advanced Certificate obtained in acognate field.Supporting documents include a certified copy of ID document andGrade 12 certificate [NSC, NC, NCV (NQF level 4)]*Foreign learners are required to obtain a SAQA equivalent of yourqualification and a study/work permit

Selection requirements At least 18 years of age Ability to read and write in English, which is the language ofinstruction A basic level of digital literacy skills If you do not meet the minimum requirements, you may still enrolon the basis of relevant work experience or mature age exemption.How this programme is deliveredThe programme is delivered online through our data-lite learningplatform iCan. You can access your learning materials from mostcomputers or any smart mobile device. Prescribed books andtextbooks, available in our online library, can be downloaded for offlineuse.Students are encouraged to work independently, studying the learningcontent, doing the activities and assessments and participating indiscussion forums. To support your online study, you will have access toa lecturer through various support channels.The Diploma is currently only offered on a part-time basis with anestimated completion time of four and a half years.

How you are assessedAssessments form an integral part of the learning in this programme.You will be required to complete and submit various compulsoryassessments for each module in the programme.Students will be exposed to various types of assessments, includingmultiple-choice questions, essay questions, case study assessments,graded discussion forums, research papers, sit-down and online exams,and more.
