Governor Deval Patrick’s story provides a sense of hope infinding the goodness in people, and in the potential future successof the Brooke students, some of which come from neighborhoodsnot too dissimilar to that of Governor Patrick’s. I’ve participated inBrooke Book Club on a number of occasions and I always walk away with the same impressions - the Brookestudents are genuinely curious to learn, they are thoughtful and they have an incredible amount of selfconfidence, mutual respect, and admiration for each other.” Brooke would like to give a special thank you toGovernor Patrick and all of our students, guests, and staff that made this a truly memorable evening!Total Operating Revenue 24,197,094 2,278,365 1,301,526 - 34,738,568Operating Expenses:Personnel - Salaries & BenefitsDirect Student Costs 6,078,250Facility Expenses 4,365,237Other Operating CostsDepreciationTotal Operating Expenses 21,466,498Interest IncomeGrants & Contributions (unrestricted)Grants & Contributions (Capital)Other IncomeFinancing CostsIntercompany Grants - CapitalTotal General RevenueChange in Unrestricted Net PositionBoston Schools FundAlex and Amy FinkelsteinLouis Calder FoundationJacob and Elizabeth GrossmanMassachusetts Life Sciences CenterKatie LeeRichard and Susan Smith Family FoundationBain Capital, LLCAndrew Locke 50,000- 99,999Divya ManiCharles Hayden FoundationAndrew MatteisJoanna and Jonathan JacobsonThomas NilesLinde Family FoundationLinda PolivyJill Reynolds 795,275Cummings FoundationRyan DuffyCharles & Rebecca Ledley 773,830 4,394 159,207– 5,000 942,431 2,162,875Carla DeSantisEast Boston Foundation 10,000- 49,000 33,518,124Marvin CineBill and Melinda Gates Foundation 812,864General Revenues & (Expenses): 100,000- 499,999The Longfield Family FoundationScott Oran and Meryl KesslerShippy FoundationBrian and Stephanie SpectorJennifer Toll 5,000- 9,999Laurel FerrettiJohn Templeton Foundation Donation FundJanet OffensendThomas O’RourkeTrevor Rozier-ByrdJenny SaenzRachel SafferstoneDerri ShtaselState Street FoundationRobert SteeleMichael TookeMary WellsCarol Gladstone and Benjamin WhippleRay Xi 500 to 999Brett AlessiAnn S. In 2011, Andy Gonzalez completed 8th grade at Brooke s original campus in Roslindaleand went on to attend and graduate from Roxbury Latin. While attending Roxbury Latin(Class of 2017), Brooke s Office of High School and College Success nominated Andy forthe Christian A. Herter Memorial Scholarship Program, a highly-selective four-year collegescholarship. Andy– who is first in his family to attend college – was an ideal candidate for thedistinguished scholarship, which he won.At Brooke I learned how to balance my time between school work and activities, and that skillwas incredibly beneficial when I transitioned to Roxbury Latin School for high school. As Iembark on my college career I am most looking forward to examining my beliefs and learning tolive independently. I’m also looking forward to connecting with the students at Brooke High andsharing about my college experience with them.”Andy Gonzalez, University of Massachusetts Amherst ‘21Brooke Charter Schools, 190 Cummins Highway, Boston, MA 02131BROOKE ROSLINDALE BROOKE MATTAPAN BROOKE EAST BOSTON WWW.EBROOKE.ORGBROOKE HIGH SCHOOL
