Padre Pio, givestrength to doctors and nurses so theymay treat all of their patients withcompassion and wisdom. Make themrecognize Jesus in every person in theircare. Amen.THANK YOU FOR YOUR STEWARDSHIP.A LIFE OF GIVING IS A LIFE WITH CHRIST !A LIFE OF SERVICE IS A LIFE WITH CHRIST !14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how fromchildhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings which are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in ChristJesus.2 Timothy 3:14-152 Timoteo 3:14-15 habla de una fe fuerte que es la descendencia de las instrucciones que se nos han dado desde la infancia, el tiernocultivo del amor por Dios en nuestras familias y en nuestras comunidades. Debemos ser los guerreros de la fe que guía a lageneración joven y a los que tienen hambre de las palabras de Dios. The Importance of Guiding Our ChildrenEvery one of us including our children are constantly bombarded with many belief systemsespoused by TV shows, movies, music, the social media, celebrities, friends and even teachers. These influences are a real threat to the foundation of our faith. It silently erodes our valuesystem. You witness in our everyday life - absence of respect for the sanctity of life, growingsecularization of the young generation to name a few. If we value the future of our children, each of us need to step up to pray and guide our children back to church and back to the faith.2 Timothy 3:14-15 speaks that a strong faith is the offspring of instructions we get sincechildhood, the tender loving cultivation of love for God in our families and our communities. Bethat faith warrior that guides the young generation and those who are hungry for God’s words.

RAY TORRALBA TO BE INSTITUTED INTO THE MINISTRY OF ACOLYTEPlease continue your prayers for our deacon candidate, Ray Torralba, as the Most Rev. Robert Casey willpreside at his institution into the Ministry of Acolyte on November 1st, 2020 at the Chapel of the ImmaculateConception, University of Saint Mary of the Lake in Mundelein. Ray is one of 16 candidates to be instituted intothis ministry. As is noted in the words of the Rite, instituted acolytes “have a special role in the Church’s ministry.” The Rite notes the followingresponsibilities: assist priests and deacons in carrying out their ministry at the Eucharist; as special ministers, they are to give Holy Communion to the faithful at the liturgy, and to the sick; because they are specially called to this ministry, they should strive to live more fully by the Lord’s sacrifice and to be moldedmore perfectly in its likeness; they should seek to understand the deep spiritual meaning of what they do so to offer themselves daily to God as spiritualsacrifices acceptable to Him through Jesus Christ. regarding the Ministry of Acolyte, Canon Law also notes that newly instituted acolytes must regularly exercise their ministry fromthis point forward if they are to be considered for the possibility of Holy Orders. This year, Ray continues to be involved in multi-dimensional study, prayer and preparation for possible Holy Orders. Academic andformation courses include Sacrament
