In fact,80 of our programs had 100% graduate employment.Every year, we serve nearly 50,000 people. We train the people who serve and protect usevery day. Our nurses, accountants, chefs and carpenters. Our mechanics, firefighters,marketers, entrepreneurs, child care providers and welders. While not an ideal way to celebrate andcongratulate, we need to acknowledge this special momentin time not only for you as you are recognized for achievingyour educational goals, but for the people who havesupported you along the way.You should be very proud of your accomplishments. During your time at Fox ValleyTechnical College, you have acquired the knowledge and skills that you’ll need for successin your chosen career. You have also grown as an individual. For many of you, the supportand encouragement of family and friends have enabled you to succeed. Student SpeakerChanel BeckerOccupational Therapy AssistantAssociate in Applied Science DegreeAs a child, Chanel knew she wanted to study occupational therapy.She witnessed first-hand the transformative work of occupationaltherapy; her niece was born with a genetic disorder and Chanel watchedwith amazement as occupational therapists taught her niece to functionindependently.After completing her bachelor’s degree, Chanel decided to pursue her ‘perfect degree’ and enrolled inthe Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Fox Valley Technical College.She enjoys helping others help themselves, and strives to build in others a feeling of hope andindependence. In her time at Fox Valley Tech, Chanel has especially appreciated the expertise andcompassion of her teachers.After graduation, Chanel plans to continue working as a respite provider while studying for herNational Board Certification in Occupational Therapy exam.Commencement SpeakerBecky BartoszekPresident and CEOFox Cities Chamber of Commerce and Regional PartnershipBecky Bartoszek is the President and CEO of the Fox Cities Chamber ofCommerce and Regional Partnership. Having relocated to Wisconsin in1998, Becky’s previous experience included Vice President of the GreatLakes for Alltel Wireless, Market Leader for the QTI Group, and smallbusiness owner of a State Farm Agency.Becky currently serves on the New North Board of Directors, the Coordinating Committee forImagine Fox Cities, and the Advisory Board for the Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Executives.In addition, she is currently appointed by Governor Evers to his Advisory Council on WorkforceInvestment where she serves as the co-chair of the Workforce Innovation and OpportunityCommittee.Becky and her husband Brian live in the Freedom area with their two teenagers, Ben (18) andAnnabel (16.)
