Peel the banana, wrapin plastic, and store in the freezerovernight.Put the cashews and milk in ablender. Cut the banana into several slices and add to the blenderalong with the remaining ingredients. She completedboth her undergraduate and graduateSocial Work degrees at UNLV. Marcy hasan extensive background in social servicesspanning over 30 years. She has workedwith child and adult survivors of sexual abuse, individualswith chronic mental illness, older adults in skilled nursingand rehabilitation facilities (where she found her passionworking with older adults) and as a program & intakecoordinator for the Senior Peer Counseling Program atthe Barbara Greenspun Women’s Care Center ofExcellence. Marcy has earned the Clark County Volunteerof the Year award for her countless hours of volunteerservice. She enjoys working with our Center participantsand their families and caregivers. The New PathwaysCafé, Connections and support groups keep herenergized- she is a true “people person”. She also lovesentertaining and decorating for groups and events, henceher nickname, “Marcy Stewart”. She puts the “special” inspecial occasions! Marcy is a Master Gardner –the “plantwhisperer” and lovingly cares for her plants inside andoutside. She loves the San Gabriel Mountains where shewas raised before moving to Las Vegas at 16. Herfavorite Peanuts characters are Snoopy and Woodstock.On her bucket list is a trip to Alaska where she wants tomine gold!Nora Kraidman, MS is a CertifiedCare Manager and has a MS inCounseling. At Nevada SeniorServices she is a Case Manager andGeriatric Care Manager specializingin Adults with cognitive disabilities.Nora works with our centerparticipants their loved ones at the Adult Day CareCenter of Las Vegas and Henderson where shefacilitates support groups, and New Pathways Café andConnections memory loss programs. Nora is a certifiedcaregiver REACH coach, Certified Yoga instructor inTrauma Recovery Yoga and Yoga for Seniors.Previously Nora worked for five years as Director ofSenior Services for Jewish Family Service Agency(JFSA) in Las Vegas where she worked with theHolocaust Survivor community. Nora received her B.Ain English Literature and Political Science from theUniversity of Haifa in Israel. She served for two years inthe IDF and speaks English, Spanish and Hebrewfluently. In her leisure time, Nora loves to travel. Shehas traveled to 15 countries where she has hiked 2 ofthe most dangerous hikes in the world! Nora is also anavid reader and will be hosting “Living & Learning”book club this fall at the Adult Day Care Center ofHenderson.
