The college providesan opportunity for personal growth and a strong educational foundation to take thestudent either on to a for year college or directly into the job market.Founded in 1963, Merced College continues to be a leader in community collegeeducation. It‛s a fully-accredited two-year institution which offers a variety ofprograms for its students. Essentially, these programs fall into two categories.Transferable courses are readily accepted by four-year colleges throughout the UnitedStates. A two-year program, which leads to an A.A. or A.S. degree, serves as theequivalent of their first two years of the B.A. degree at a four-year college. In thiscategory are courses in the Arts, Sciences, Kinesiology. Humanities, Social Sciences,Business Agriculture and Industrial Technology, as well as pre-professional programs.Nontransferable courses serve two purposes. Students needing additional preparationfor transfer type courses can enroll in a variety of Learning Skills programs. Studentswho do not wish to transfer to a four-year school can take classes that will lead to anA.A. degree or Certificate of Completion in various programs. A small sampling of theseinclude: Business (including computers and management), Agriculture, Allied Health,Recreation, and Public Service (including Administration of Justice.)

She had spent the 2007 and 2008seasons as an Assistant Coach at Merced College. She played softballat Merced College in 2003 and 2004, and is a 2004 graduate of MercedCollege. She continued her studies at CSU Stanislaus where she wasa scholarship athlete playing softball in 2005 and 2006. She graduatedin 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education.
