Barge Design Solutions Announces Great Place to Work RecertificationBarge Design Solutions, Inc., has been recertified as a great workplace for 2019-2020 by the independent analystsat Great Place to Work . Barge earned this credential for the fourth year in a row.According to the anonymous survey, 93% of employees believe that Barge is a great place to work, which is a 4%increase from the 2018-2019 results. Scarecrows at the Park,This autumn celebration presented by Morristown Parks andRecreation Department will be held October 5, 2019, at FredMiller Park.The Scarecrows will be displayed on the south side of the parkfor the public to enjoy thru October. Scarecrows are to be decorated and judged on October 5th and will stay in the park untilNovember 1st for BOO Fest. Prizes will be awarded to 1st and2nd place in each category (Student/Youth Group or Adult/Professional.Organizations in charge of displays are responsible for all set-ups (materials, labor, etc.) aswell as for the breakdown and removal of the display. Set-Up begins at noon on October5 and the display must be completed and ready for judging by 2:30 p.m. Winners will beannounced at 3:00pm. Scarecrows are to be displayed at the park until November 1st. Entrant must remove all of the scarecrow and belongings no later than Nov. 3rd. Deadline toenter is September 25. Clinch-Powell Announces New InitiativeClinch-Powell is excited to announce their new initiative, the Lakeway Financial Opportunity Center (FOC). Clinch-Powell hasbeen working with Rural Local Initiatives Support Corporation (Rural LISC) and FAHE to implement the FOC model to beginoffering tailored services to Lakeway area residents, designed to help them secure living wage jobs, build credit, reduce debtand gain wealth. The new program is part of LISC’s national effort, in partnership with critical funders such as Fannie Mae andCapital One, and long-time partners such as FAHE,to expand the FOC model, which has already beensuccessful in urban areas, across rural communities.FOCs focus on providing families with servicesacross three areas: employment services; financialeducation and coaching; and public benefits access.The core services are offered through an integrated,data-driven model in order to reinforce one anotherand to provide a multi-faceted approach to incomeand wealth building. Data has shown that clientsreceiving this integrated approach through theFOC model, are more likely to be employedyear-round, reduce non asset-related debt,build a positive credit history, and be employed longer. Clinch-Powell’s rural model willprovide access to these bundled servicesthrough a network of referral partnershipswith the Lakeway FOC providing the primaryfinancial coaching and informed guidance toparticipants through the referral and careerdevelopment process. Services of the LakewayFOC are open to anyone wanting to improvetheir economic outlook regardelss of incomeor employment status.
