CurriculumSession I: Thursday, March 14, 20198:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m. – Networking breakfast8:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. – Session including lunchLeading in the 21st Century WorkplaceThis course deals with the personal and interpersonalaspects of leadership and addresses how “genderintelligence” can improve exchanges at work.The session begins with an overview of women inCorporate America including a review of issues andchallenges such as confidence in the workplace.Participants will use a leadership style assessmentinstrument that evaluates their capacity in the fourdistinct dispositions of leadership and helps themapply each of the dispositions to appropriate workplacesituations. Participants will explore: the naturalstrengths women bring to the workplace; how tointeract successfully with the natural strengths of men;how brain science impacts work processes; and thebenefits of appreciating, understanding, and integratingthe different leadership styles between the genders.This course promises to provide the fundamentals forauthentic and collaborative leadership.Session II: Thursday, May 9, 20198:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m. – Networking breakfast8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. – Session including lunchNavigating Your Organization and OptimizingYour InfluenceIn this interactive session, each participant will analyzeher ability to get things done through people, anddevelop a deeper understanding of the organizationaland cultural dynamics of her company. This segment willfocus on how to “map” the various stakeholders on anissue and how to develop approaches to building criticalmass in support of that issue. Additionally, this moduleaddresses the use of influencing tactics—how andwhen to use them. The goal of this class is to provideinsight into the participant’s personal style in order tomore effectively influence other people, while still beingtrue to herself.KPMG’s Executive Leadership Institute for Women2Session III: Thursday, July 18, 20198:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m. – Networking breakfast8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. – Session including lunchBeing Resilient: A Key to Leadership SuccessThis seminar aims to reveal the strategies on howto become more resilient when faced with conflict,disappointment, and hard times. Participants will use aself-assessment instrument to determine their currentlevels of resiliency. The instrument will be reviewed bythe participants, and pinpoint strengths and potentialvulnerabilities and help to chart new strategies forenhancing personal well-being and overall performance.Additionally, this session aims to describe approaches tocreating team resiliency. At the conclusion, participantswill develop an action plan to build an internal reservoirof resiliency to tap into when needed.Session IV: Thursday, September 19, 20198:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m. – Networking breakfast8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. – Session including lunchAccelerating Success: Strategies for Career GrowthParticipants will be led through an interactive sessionthat explores each person’s skills, strengths, and careerinterests. The discussion will include an exercise that isdesigned to give an individual knowledge and ownershipover her career planning and growth. A gap analysis willdetermine which experiences and skills each participantneeds to acquire to achieve her potential and careergoals. Additionally, participants will explore how tomesh their skills, strengths, and interests with theneeds of a civic, community, or nonprofit organizationto gain additional experience, contacts, and personalsatisfaction. In conclusion, participants should bemotivated to take control over their own careers, andgiven the encouragement and guidelines to do so.Graduation Celebration:October 2019 (exact date TBD)Reception: 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.

Continuous learningKPMG’s Executive Leadership Institute for Women comprises four half-day classroom sessions held on aquarterly basis. The sessions are hosted at KPMG LLP’s (KPMG), 345 Park Ave. New York, NY 10154.Each meeting will begin with breakfast followed by the classroom session. Attendees will participate ina combination of mini-lectures and interactive discussions around case studies and real-life leadershipchallenges. Lunch will be provided at the conclusion of each session to allow participants the opportunity tonetwork.Monthly facilitated discussions will be held in smaller cohort groups. Cohorts will discuss the applicationof the learnings to their own individual situations, receive guidance on and reinforcement of the principleslearned from previous sessions, and discuss reading assignments. The year’s program culminates in a finalcohort session and graduation ceremony.Candidates for KPMG’s Executive Leadership Institute are women with significant years of leadershipexperience. The requirements for joining as a participant include being sponsored by your company and beinga high-performing, high-potential woman at the director level or above. All participants will be matched to anappropriate group of peers for the cohort groups.The cost per participant will be 5,500.KPMG’s Executive Leadership Institute for Women3
