ADMISSIONSAPPLICATION2019-2020

INTRODUCING A NEW WAY TO SELECT A MAJORAACC has something for everyone, but with so many degrees and certificates available, our listof majors can seem daunting to the first-time student. To help undecided applicants find themajor that best fits their interests and goals, we have organized our degrees and certificatesinto 11 broad Fields of Interest.New students will be able to "explore" their options within one of the Fields of Interest. Withthis new Explore program, students take numerous courses common to a particular field ofinterest, and a course that provides more in-depth exposure to the various disciplines withinthat field. Once students have completed these courses, they are prepared to make better, more informed decisions about their major – and their future. Not everyone applies to college with a firm goal in mind, or even an idea of which path totake. In many ways, that’s why we’re here. Our academic advisors, career advisors and facultyare committed to helping students determine the route that works best for them. This newapproach is one more way that AACC can help students begin their college journey, andredefine themselves for a bright future.w ww. a a c c . e d u
