All entries must be postmarked by August 17, 2016. Each entrymust be complete, including the attached entry form and copies of all membership cards, numbers and signatures, as well asproof of vaccination per USEF Rule GR845Refunds: Cancellations after the closing date will not be refunded without written veterinary certificate, less the 30.00office fee. Cancellations before the closing date will be refunded, less the 30.00 office fee.Stabling: Stalls are permanent 12’x12’ wood with doors. See Fees list for cost. Stabling requests should be included with allentries along with any unusual requirements, (i.e., stallion separation, et cetera). If you are purchasing shaving, please do soin advance with your entry.Haul-in Fees: 10.00 flat fee for the duration of the show (waived if stabling).Returned Checks: All returned checks will incur a 35.00 fee.Arenas: Outdoor competition arena (20m x 60m) with sand footing. There are two warm-up arenas available with sandfooting: One outdoor (approximately 20m x 60m) and one indoor (20m x 40m).Lungeing: Will only be allowed in designated lungeing arena.Dogs: Are not allowed on our show grounds at any time. Please keep them at home for their own safety and the safety of allof our competitors.Sharps Containers: Are located inside covered arena next to tack room.Parking: Parking areas will be marked accordingly.Entry Acceptance: All entries must be postmarked by the closing date. The show management may close entries early if theshow is full. Entries submitted after the show is full will go on the wait list. Competitors will be informed of their entrystanding. Entries submitted that are not accepted will be returned.Entries: All entries must be filled out completely and have proper fees enclosed. Federation Agreement Page (signaturepage) must be signed by rider, owner, trainer, and coach if applicable. *Minors (riders under 18 years old) must have a parentor guardian sign the Federation Agreement. Missing signature pages are considered incomplete and subject to additional fees.

Incorrect or incomplete entries may not be accepted. This includes entries submitted without proof of memberships,registrations or are missing signature pages.All entries are accepted on a first‐come, first‐served basis. This show is currently only accepting entries by regular mail andacceptance will be based on the post mark date. Entries not accepted will be returned and refunded in full.Numbers will not be issued without completed entries, full payment, signatures, fees and current copies of all registrationcards and proof of vaccination, per USEF Rule GR845. Always bring your cards to the show with you. All entries mustinclude an emergency contact name and phone number for rider. Management reserves the right to accept conditionally orcancel any entries, disqualify riders as exhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries and cancel or combine award classes.Scratches, Changes and Cancellations: It is the responsibility of the competitor to inform the show secretary via phone at(802) 343‐3659 of their intention to scratch. Refunds are given for scratches prior to closing date less the 30.00 office fee.No refunds given after the closing date without a written veterinary certificate. Changes to entries: or other changes madeafter the closing date will be assessed a 25.00 fee. Shows will be held rain or shine. No refunds given for cancellations dueto weather conditions.Entry Confirmations: Entry confirmations will be emailed. Competitors are responsible for reading and responding to theentry confirmation. If entry confirmation is not received by the closing date of the show, the competitor is advised to contactthe show secretary.Ride Times: Ride times will be emailed. It is the rider’s responsibility to inform management if times are not received. Weask that all competitors be prepared to ride at any time during the show day as it may be necessary to run classes out of order.Upper levels will be scheduled earlier in the day than lower levels or immediately following the lunch break.Management: The Horse Show Management reserves the right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to orarising out of any incident in the show without claims for damages or recourse of any kind. All questions not covered in theserules and regulations shall be decided by the show management whose decision shall be final.The Horse Show Management reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally or cancel any entries, disqualify riders orexhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries, and to cancel /award prizes, without claim to damage, to change, cancel or combineany classes, to reschedule classes or substitute officials. The judge’s decisions are strictly their own and the managementaccepts absolutely no responsibility for those decisions.Non-competing horses: Horses not competing in the show must be registered with the show office and will be given anumber to be worn at all times when out of the stall. Entry form and signed Federation Agreement must be submitted andappropriate fees must be paid prior to the horse being ridden. Failure to register and pay for schooling horse can result inpenalty fees. Non‐competing horses are allowed in the warm‐up as long as there is room and their presence is not disruptive.This determination will be made solely at the discretion of the show management. Schooling of horses is not allowed in oraround the competition arena during the competition.Freestyles: Freestyle entries must have a copy of their eligibility test with entry. Entries submitted without their eligibilitytest will be considered an incomplete entry. Freestyle music must be on compact disk. Please give to Show Secretary uponcheck‐in on show day.Every horse entered for competition will comply with the rules of the horse show management, but management will, in nocase, be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold thishorse show and the officials and employees of the show blameless for any loss or accident to their horse, employees,equipment, which may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise.The management reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries, disqualify any riders or exhibitors,prohibit entries and cancel award prizes without claims for damages; to cancel or combine unfilled classes, or to rescheduleclasses after due notice to exhibitors; to change rings or rotate judges.Exhibitors are notified that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the judges or officials, on the part of the owner, manager,rider, or groom shall disqualify the horse, and the owner shall forfeit his entry fee and other fees.Show management reserves to itself the power to prohibit any person from attending or showing a horse in the ring and toremove any groom or horse from the show without being liable for compensation.

In accordance with the 1989 Federal Waste Tracking Act, which restricts the disposal of medical waste, bio-hazardousmedical waste containers will be provided in the stable area. All exhibitors and their agents are responsible for the properdisposal of this waste.No person will be allowed in the show ring during the time of judging except the exhibitor and those having official orrequested duties to perform.It is the tradition of the show that riders be correctly attired for the class in question, that attendants be neatly dressed and thehorses properly presented. Management may in its discretion bar any person from entering the ring if not suitably presentedto appear before an audience.SHARPS CONTAINERS: GR1210.4: Competition management shall place a minimum of one sharps container per eachcompetition, whether or not stabling is provided. Additionally, at least one sharps container per fifty occupied stalls for thedisposal of needles and other disposable sharp instruments in convenient locations in barns housing competition horses. It iscompetition management’s responsibility to replace such containers when full and dispose of them properly. Competitionmanagement may fine any individuals including trainers, owners, exhibitors, or their agents up to 100 for improper disposalof needles or other sharp disposable instruments. Competition management will place a notice of this requirement either in itsprize list or on a specific handout given to trainers on check in at the competition. If local law has different requirements, locallaw will prevail. Competitions failing to comply with placing the required number of containers on the show grounds will beconsidered in violation of the rules and may be subject to penalty as determined by the CEO or Executive Director and/or theHearing Committee.MOTORIZED VEHICLE STATEMENT: GR1301.7: Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows themto operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of anykind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds oflicensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles aslong as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual whosigns the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solelyresponsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause forsanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense.Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for theremainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6.Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.WAIVING OF COATS DR120 Dress: In locations with high average heat and humidity on the date of a competition,management can publish in their prize list that jackets will be waived for the duration of the competition. Alternatively,management can announce prior to or during a competition that competitors can show without jackets when extreme heat and/orhumidity is forecast. This waiver applies to all classes including FEI classes at National Competitions. However, competitorsmust wear protective headgear and a shirt with sleeves and collar, without neckwear, and without decoration except as describedbelow. T-shirts are not permitted. Members of the Armed Services or police units may wear summer uniforms. (Please notethat coats will be waived based on weather conditions and will be posted and/or announced at the show.)HELMET RULE EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2013: From the time horses are officially admitted to the competition grounds bycompetition management, anyone mounted on a horse at any time on the competition grounds, including non-competingriders, riders on non-competing horses, and those competing in all classes and tests, must wear protective headgear as definedby this rule and otherwise in compliance with GR801. Any rider violating this rule at any time must immediately beprohibited from further riding until such headgear is properly in place. Protective headgear is defined as a riding helmet whichmeets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards forequestrian use and carries the SEI tag. The harness must be secured and properly fitted. Unless jackets are waived, while inthe competition ring, exhibitors wearing protective headgear must wear a short, dark jacket, dark tailcoat (only permitted fortests above Fourth Level), or Armed Services or police uniform (if eligible), dark hat covers (where applicable) and mustotherwise conform to DR120 (see GR801).GR845 EQUINE VACCINATION RULE: 1. At Federation licensed competitions, horses entering the grounds must beaccompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations withinsix months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competitiongrounds upon request by Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methodsmentioned below. The frequency of vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers’ or veterinarian’srecommendations. It is recommended that vaccines are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. 2. In the case

of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must providedocumentation from the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in question received the vaccinations; name of thevaccines and date of vaccine administration. 3. In the case of vaccines administered by a person other than a veterinarian, theexhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine purchase which is signed by theowner, or agent with care, custody, and control of the horse; name, serial number and expiration date of the vaccine; and dateof vaccine administration. 4. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a history ofadverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian onofficial letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperaturestaken twice daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperaturetaken and logged twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to theCompetition Management, steward, or technical delegate when requested. 5. Competition Management may not amend orenhance vaccination requirements without prior approval of the Veterinary Committee. BOD 1/17/15 Effective 12/1/15.USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENTLife, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes atRegular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and CombinedDriving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions andEndurance Rides.
