“And He said to them,‘Go into all the worldand proclaim the gospelto the whole creation.’”Mark 16:15Pray forMuslim ChildrenHave you seen Muslim children in yourneighborhood or school or store? Theymay not look like the children in this picturebecause most Muslim children inMontgomery don’t wear special clothing like head scarves or caps even though theirmothers and teenaged sisters may wear them.Muslims believe there is one God who created and reigns over all the universe just likewe do, but they don’t believe that Jesus is God’s one and only Son who sacrificed Hislife to save people from their sins. Muslims don’t read the Bible which is God’s word sothey don’t know that God is loving and merciful. Their special book is called the Quran.Muslims think they can earn their way to heaven by being a good person andfollowing certain special rituals. Every year Muslim families observe a 30-day time ofprayer and fasting. It is called Ramadan. This year, Ramadan is from May 15 to June14. Can you imagine eating breakfast early in the morning before the sun comes up andthen not eating all day until after sunset when you have supper? Can you imagine doingthat for 30 days in a row? Many Christians pray for Muslims to believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior and try totell them about Him. They pray especially for Muslims during Ramadan because thatis when Muslims are seeking God. Will you pray daily from May 15 to June 14 thatMuslims find the true God who loves them and sent Jesus His Son to die for them?

#98 “Now Thank We All Our God”There are so many things to be thankful to God for! Some things we should be thankful for are mentioned in thishymn, such as: “countless gifts of love,” and His promise to“guide us when perplexed,” “keep us in His grace,” and “free usfrom all ills in this world and the next.” God is sowonderful and He loves us so much! We should thank Him andpraise Him daily. What do you have to be thankful for?#644 “May the Mind of Christ My Savior”Philippians 2:5 says “Your attitude should be the same as thatof Christ Jesus.” This hymn says that we can have Jesus’ mind,Word, peace, love, and beauty in our lives each day. How isthat possible? God gave us the Holy Spirit to be our guide, ourcomforter, and our helper. Pray that the Holy Spirit would giveyou the mind of Christ so that you can obey His Word, feel Hispeace, and love others as He loves us.“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.”Philippians 2:5
