In order to avoid confusion, for the most part we’re usingthe word client to reflect the person getting the reading even ifthat person is you.One-Card ReadingsOne-card readings are useful as a tool for learning how to usethe Angel Tarot Cards. T HE BIG BOOK OF A NGEL TA ROTSimple Yes/No AnswersThere are an endless number of complicated spreads in booksand on the Internet showing how to get a simple yes-or-no answerto a question from tarot. In truth, there’s a very simple way to geta response.Think of the question you want an answer to while shuffling.When you feel compelled to stop, take the top card from the deck.Most cards in tarot have a positive energy or a challenging energy.Positive cards would reflect a yes, while challenging cards indicatea no.For example, the Nine of Water is a very positive card that indicates wishes coming true, so it makes sense to see this card as ayes. The Five of Air is a card that indicates an unwise choice, so it’seasy to see that card as a no.While yes-or-no questions can be very tempting to ask, keepin mind that tarot is always trying to help us out. There are manypositive cards and challenging cards, so we encourage everyoneto look at the card and then consider why tarot offered that particular card as the answer. For example, the Nine of Water and TheChariot are both very positive cards, but the former indicates getting what we want very easily, while the latter implies success thatcomes through hard work.Timing QuestionsAnother frequent question that clients ask is “when” a particular event will occur. One of the advantages of tarot cards inanswering such questions is that they’re numbered.To get an idea of when something is going to happen, ask thequestion in your mind while shuffling.
