Getting qualifiedMinimum entry requirementsTo become a CFA charterholder, you must meet atleast one of the following criteria:To become a CFAcharterholder, you mustmeet the eligibilityrequirements which includepassing three exams, LevelsI, II and III, andaccumulating48 months of approvedwork experience.The CFA exams vary intheir format and structure. All exams are conducted onlineand each exam is six hours long Level I can be taken inFebruary, May, August andNovember Level II can be taken in Mayand August Level III can be taken in Mayand November The CFA Institute Board ofGovernors sets theminimum passing score foreach level every year.For more informationabout the CFA credential,pleasevisit www.cfainstitute.org8 Chartered Financial Analyst Hold a Bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree Be in the final year of your Bachelor’s degreeprogramme Have four years of qualified, professional workexperience Have a combination of work and collegeexperience that totals at least four years (Note:summer, part‑time, and internship positions donot qualify as work experience)How long does it take?How you study for your CFA exam is very flexible andyou can progress at your own pace.
