One such resident and former Secretary of the Board ofTrustees was Flora Millspaugh (with the number 3 on the photo).Mrs. Millspaugh not only served and resided at Historic CampChesterfield, she was also a suffragist and marched as a delegatefrom Indiana in the 1913 Suffrage Procession in Washington, D.C.the day before the inauguration of President Woodrow Wilson.Organized by Suffragists Alice Paul and Lucy Burns, on behalf ofthe National American Women’s Suffrage Association, the 1913procession was an effort to push women’s right to vote more onthe national stage. As many Spiritualists during the turn of the 20thcentury, Flora Millspaugh worked for women to gain the right tovote and is a valuable part of the history of Historic CampChesterfield.2
