MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT – SHAWN WILKIEHey everyone! Based on the weather outside, I’d say Spring has sprung! I hope you’re all as excitedas I am about getting outside and seeing what the winter has wrought—and what can be done to tidyup for the year ahead. As you begin thinking about the projects you plan to undertake on your own property, the Board isconsidering the same things on behalf of the neighborhood. I hope you’ll take the time to fill out thepaper survey that was included in the mailing that delivered your pool/tennis membership renewalform, or else go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CHA Annual Survey to share your thoughts.Your involvement and input is what makes this neighborhood great, and we appreciate everyone’sopinions.Speaking of the pool/tennis renewal form, please remember that your application is due to be returnedsoon, along with the payment for your annual homeowners dues. If you’ve set the invoice aside—asso many of us do since we have until the end of this month to pay it—take a minute right now to gofind it and mail it in. We don’t want anyone to miss out on updating your pool cards or have to pay alate fee because you forgot.I’m looking forward to seeing everyone out and about. Please wave or stop to visit for a moment ifyou see me (or any of your other neighbors) around the neighborhood.See you soon!Your neighbor,ShawnCopperfield is aGreat Place to Live!Waste Management UpdateReminder!AllHOA DuesandPool Applicationsare due by April 5thAndy Reynolds, representative of Waste Management, spoke at the Annual HOA meeting inFebruary. He explained that a code is assignedto all Copperfield residents’ accounts so that thecontracted rate for additional services such as yardwaste and recycling is automatically billed. “WasteManagement is aware that some Copperfieldresidents have been overcharged for their recyclingand/or yard waste service, and is working hard tocorrect the issue, and provide credits to effectedcustomers. If you have any questions, or think youmay have been overcharged, please contact ourCustomer Service department at 502-966-0117.”

The streets of Copperfield are maintained byMetro Governments road maintenance crew. If thereare places in need of repair on your street, it is veryeasy to report and have the road crew repair them. There are two easy ways of reporting, Metro call@ 311, or Online at www.louisvilleky.gov, clickon metro public works, then pothole repair.Identifying the location is easy, all the road crewneeds is the location of the pothole. The address if thepothole is in the middle of a street. If the pothole isnear an intersection identify that intersection. Theywill find the problem and make the repair normallywithin three days. This may vary do to the numerouspot holes reported this time of year.MarchTroublemakerLeah ReminiThursday, March 23rdLinda Ferreira’s711 Brendon Hills PlaceTime:7:30 p.m.(Bring appetizer or dessert, if you would like to.)We meet on the fourth Thursday of the month. Please call Linda Ferreira at 245-1335 withany questions.Eat Healthier and Supporta Local FarmerOne of our Copperfield residents, Gina Wilkie,is working to organize a Copperfield CSA (CSAstands for Community Supported Agriculture).Essentially, it’s a concept designed to helpfamilies get closer to the source of their food, while directly supporting local farmers.
