FOREWORDHOW TO USE THIS CATALOGGo to chapter 1, paragraph 1–7, for guidance on how to enroll in courses administeredby the Army Institute for Professional Development (AIPD) (listed in chapter 2) orindividual subcourses (chapter 3). If you are enrolling in a course listed in chapter 4,follow the instructions specified in the course description. In any case, make sure youare eligible for enrollment and meet any prerequisites.If you have selected a course administered by AIPD, go to chapter 3 for a description ofthe individual subcourses within the course. This is a revised publication.Because the publication has beenextensively revised, the changed portionshave not been highlighted.Summary. The Army CorrespondenceCourse Program is the formal nonresidentextension of the U.S. Army Training andDoctrine Command service schools’ curriculums that are centrally administeredby the Army Institute for Professional Development, U.S. Army Training SupportCenter, Fort Eustis, VA 23604–5121. Thispamphlet lists the courses and subcoursesadministered by the Army Institute forContentsProfessional Development and outlinesprocedures and administrative functionsthat affect student enrollment. This publication also includes correspondencecourses offered by Army schools andagencies and selected Department of Defense agencies that administer their ownprograms independently of the Army Institute for Professional Development. TheArmy Institute for Professional Development is accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council. Thisaccreditation signifies the achievement ofthe Distance Education and TrainingCouncil’s standards involving the development, production, and administration ofhome study programs.Applicability. This pamphlet applies toactive duty military of all branches, foreign military, Army National Guard of theUnited States, Reserve personnel, and Department of Defense civilians. During mobilization, procedures in this publicationmay be modified by the proponent.Proponent and exception authority.The proponent for this pamphlet is theCommanding General, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. The proponent has the authority to approveexceptions to this pamphlet that are consistent with controlling law and regulation. The proponent may delegate thisapproval authority, in writing, to a division chief in the proponent agency in thegrade of colonel or the civilian equivalent.Suggested Improvements.
