Transfer students with morethan 24 transferable college credits should submitscholarship applications no later than April 1 for the fallsemester and October 15 for the spring semester.2 Search for private scholarships through local businesses,civic groups, places of worship, and your high schoolcounseling office. Also check internet sites such asfastweb.com for lists of nearly 600,000 scholarships.3 Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal StudentAid) as soon as possible. For the fall semester, thepriority consideration deadline is March 1. Fill out theFAFSA online at fafsa.gov using the federal code for theUniversity of Arkansas: 001108.4 Review the Student Aid Report (SAR) that will be sentto you after your FAFSA is processed.
