FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT - DECEMBER 19, 2021CHRISTMAS MASS SCHEDULEOnce again, this year we are allowed to have anearly Mass on Christmas Eve due to CovidDear Parishioners,The fourth Sunday of Advent is the shortest weekwith two days before the celebration of the birth ofour Savior, but what a powerful Gospel reading ofMary visiting Elizabeth. Elizabeth, her older cousinand the mother of John the Baptist, represents all ofthe Hebrew traditions. Elizabeth’s husband, Zachariah was the highest-ranking priest of the temple andboth he and Elizabeth were so faithful to God and yetGod waited to their old age for Elizabeth to conceivea son. Upon Mary’s greeting the babe stirred in Elizabeth’s womb because our Savior’s mother came toher. Today our Savior’s mother comes to each of usto prepare us for that same excitement to receiveChrist at His birth. On Saturday, we celebrate the birth of Jesus andthe most beautiful season of Christmas. We will singsweet carols about the Babe of Bethlehem and tellHim in song to "sleep in heavenly peace.” This is abeautiful time of the year when we celebrate familyand friends. It is a time of warmth and a time ofpeace when the lights on our homes and Christmastrees reminds us that Jesus is the Light of the World. Can we imitate Joseph by welcoming the Christ childin our hearts not just on Christmas Day, but everyminute of every day? It is not too late! This weekendlet us ask our heavenly mother to intercede with herSon to help us to prepare for the birth of our Savior. As we wish each other a Merry Christmas let us remember that God has given us the greatest of gifts, the birth of Jesus and His overwhelming love for us.On behalf of Fr.Kubiak, Sr. Charles, Deacon Bob,and members of the parish and school staffs, I wantto wish you and your families a Blessed and MerryChristmas. As we welcome the Prince of Peace intoour hearts and homes during this blessed Christmasseason, I pray that the peace and love of the Christchild fill your hearts this day and every day.Sincerely yours in Christ,TITHING - GOD’S PLAN FOR GIVING12/05/21 Collection12/06/20 CollectionReg. 7,519Reg. 7,158Reg.
