Materials List: balloon long piece of string tape scissors straw – cut in halfBalloon RocketInstructions:1. Attach one end of the sting to a highsurface or a chair. Or, have someone holdthe string.2. Thread the straw onto the string. Then,add a piece of tape on top of the straw.3. Blow up a balloon. While pinching the endballoon closed, attach the top of the balloonto the straw with the tape.4. On the next card, draw anotherstick man, but make the arms andlegs move slightly.4. Continue making cards, slightlyadjusting the arms and legs. Footprint VehiclesMaterials List: paper washable markers paint brush non-toxic washable paint paper bag – or something an adult says is ok to use to protect the floorInstructions:1. Put a piece of paper ontop of the paper bag on thefloor.2. While sitting on a chair,paint the bottom of one ofyour feet the color of yourvehicle. Make sure not touse too much paint so that itdoesn’t drip.https://www.camptv.org

3. Carefully, making sure thebottom of your painted footdoesn’t touch the ground,stand up and place your foothorizontally on the paperand make a footprint. Gentlylift your foot off the page toprevent smearing. Have awet towel close by to wipeyour foot when you aredone.4. 4. After these people are donecamping, the go on their way.Over time a layer of dirt isdeposited on the site. (Addanother piece of bread)5.Years later, a new group ofpeople come a long and theydecide they want to build housesthere. (Pinch out 4 post holes forthe houses in the bread)6. Since these people will bestaying there for a while, theywill be making a lot of garbage.So, they dig a hole for their trash.(Make a hole and fill withsprinkles and candy)7. 8. Over time, more dirt isdeposited on top the site. (Addanother piece of bread)9. Now it’s time to excavate thesite to see what’s there! First,use a straw to poke holesthrough the layers. Examine whatcomes out through the straw.10. Decide where you want to diga larger hole, maybe were youfelt something hard with thestraw.
