Tomake hot gas systems work, the compressormust be as physically close to the ice makingevaporator as possible. This also means thenoise from the compressor is alwaysconcentrated at the ice making part of thesystem. This is not something you want in acustomer environment.Manitowoc CVD ice machines use vaporrefrigerant from the receiver tank to harvestthe ice.
