We celebrated Rabbi Slosberg’s 35thanniversary at Adath Jeshurun in November, and had a wonderfulChanukah celebration in December. February events included aHamentaschen Bake, a Men’s Club gathering to watch Louisvillebasketball, and the annual Music Festival featuring two wonderfulcollege a capella groups. A Purim celebration, including a visitingmagician is planned for March. We continue to tryto determine which experiences are relevant to our congregantswhen interacting with the synagogue and other members. With thehelp of a grant from the Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence, wehave engaged the services of a Community-Building Consultantwho is training members of the committee. Their job will be tohave conversations with AJ members to help determine programsand activities which will encourage greater participation at thesynagogue. The more diverse the input, the more likely it is we willcreate programs and activities that are appealing to the greatestnumber of congregants. Take a moment to think about whatprogram or activity would make you more likely to attend an eventat the synagogue. Share it with the committee member when theycontact you, or send us an email.
