Instructions for completing the Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal – Form B or AStep 1The WGCTA is a measure of how you learn new information, analyze it, and make decisions. Unlike the other questionnairesyou may complete, this one does have correct and incorrect answers. It is important that you are able to concentrate.Please complete the WGCTA:o when you are well rested.o where you will not be interrupted. It is not a timed test, but it takes about anhour to complete.o when you can complete it in its entirety (the whole questionnaire withouttaking a break)If you are taking this at the client’s office, please skip to Step 3.Step 2You were looking at the “My Assessment” page of the TADwebsite when you downloaded these instructions.Step 3Once you click the “take” link under pending assessments. It will thentake you to a screen like this. ------------------------------------------- Then click on the “click here” hyperlink that will take you to thechecklist of requirements to take the tets. Step 4Finally, a window like the one to the right will appear.Begin the record and make sure to allow the software to run.Then begin the questionnaire.When you click begin questionnaire, you will be asked for a password.This password was provided in the first email you received.Step 5The next page should look like this:You are asked to enter yourinformation.The only required information:First NameLast NameCurrent or Most Recent IndustryCurrent or Most Recent Position TypeCurrent or Most Recent OccupationThis information is for the purposesof the company who created the WGCTA.TAD does not use it.ClickNextThen read pop-up screen and clickNextagain.The WGCTA has 5 sub-tests, Inference, Recognition of Assumptions, Deduction, Interpretation, and Evaluation ofArguments. Each test has different instructions. It is important that you read them carefully before answering thequestions. Each test will have directions and then 1-3 example questions. You can track your progress at the bottom of thescreen. There are boxes with I, E, or a number in them. Step 10This is the first question of the actual questionnaire. Proceed through the questions until you reach the next screen with“Directions” at the top. The number of questions given in each section may change, but you should have at least 16 questionsin each section. Step 16The page gives you the option ofending your questionnaire or returning toreview them.If you are finished and do not want to reviewAny answers,ClickNextIf you want to review your answers, then you clickPreviousto get back to your questions.
