The Symposium willbe held on Saturday April 6, 2019 at the William and Ida Friday Center forContinuing Education in Chapel Hill, NC and our faculty will be joined by sevennationally recognized guest speakers.The UNC Eye Symposium comprises two sessions running concurrently, thePhysician Session and the Technician Session. Continuing Medical Education(CME) credit is made available for the Physician Session by Charlotte AHEC,while CE credit for the Technician Session will be sponsored by the JointCommission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO). UNC EYESYMPOSIUM4.6.19PoliciesCOURSE DESCRIPTIONThe UNC Eye Symposium will provide the latest updatesand insights in the diagnosis and treatment of eyedisorders including anterior segment, glaucoma, neuroophthalmology, ocular oncology, oculoplastics, andpediatric ophthalmology.The Tech Session is not sponsored by JCAHPO; onlyreviewed for compliance with JCAHPO standardsand criteria and awarded continuing education creditaccordingly; therefore, JCAHPO cannot predict theeffectiveness of the program or assure its quality insubstance and presentation.TARGET AUDIENCEThis conference is designated for Ophthalmologists,Optometrists, Ophthalmic Technicians and Photographers.REGISTRATION AND FEESRegistration for both sessions is limited. The deadline forall registrations is March 29, 2019. Late registrations maynot receive all conference materials.EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVESThe information presented at this educational activityshould increase attendees’ ability to:1. Identify and recommend management of orbitaltumors.2. Diagnose and treat keratitis in children.3.
