WHAT IS THE FLAME?The flame is a spiritual fire within your heart.It’s the divine spark that was never born and never dies.It’s the flame of life—your own portion of the Spiritthat was given to you when your soul was born outof the Infinite.WHY DOES IT NEED TO BE KEPT?Just as you tend the fire in your fireplace, you needto tend the flame. Long ago on earth, before recordedhistory, fewer and fewer people tended the flame untilthere was not one person with a flame burning on thealtar of the heart. It was a dark age when all had forgotten their divine source. Then Sanat Kumara, mentionedin the Book of Daniel as the Ancient of Days, came toearth to reignite the flame and teach others to tend it.In each age since, there have been great Lights on earthwho kept the flame going and then returned to theSpirit. These great Lights include Gautama Buddha,Moses, Jesus Christ, Kuan Yin, Krishna, Confucius—and in this age, Saint Germain.3
WHO IS SAINT GERMAIN?Saint Germain isour immortal friendand brother who isleading the people ofearth into the Aquarianage. In his embodiments as ChristopherColumbus, FrancisBacon and the Comtede Saint Germain, hepaved the way for thetechnological revolution and the personal freedomswe enjoy today. His soul ascended to God at the endof his embodiment as Francis Bacon in the seventeenthcentury. As an ascended master, he inhabits the heavenworld, also called the etheric plane.Saint Germain has been called the MasterAlchemist. He teaches us how to tend the flame on thealtar of our hearts and transmute the metal of our soulsinto the gold of the Spirit.4
WHAT IS THE KEEPERS OF THEFLAME FRATERNITY?The Keepers of the Flame Fraternity comes forth inthe tradition of ancient spiritual orders. Saint Germainfounded the fraternity in Washington, D.C., in 1961through his Messenger, Mark L. Prophet. As KnightCommander of the fraternity, Saint Germain haspledged to see this earth through to a golden age offreedom, peace and enlightenment.Along with Saint Germain come other ascendedmasters to help the earth. They are referred to in theBook of Revelation as the “saints robed in white.” Theyand their unascended disciples form the Great WhiteBrotherhood. (“White” does not refer to race but tothe aura of white light that surrounds these masters.)The Keepers of the Flame Fraternity is an outer branchof the Great White Brotherhood.Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophetare the Messengers of the Great White Brotherhood.Mark founded The Summit Lighthouse in 1958 topublish and distribute the Brotherhood’s teachings.In 1973 his soul reunited with God and he becamethe Ascended Master Lanello.Elizabeth is the spiritual leader of The SummitLighthouse, headquartered in Montana. The fraternity is not a church. Joining does notrequire that you resign from your own church or religious organization. You may retain affiliation with anyorganization whose beliefs and practices are consistentwith the laws of God.WHAT ARE THE BENEFITSOF BEING A KEEPER OF THE FLAME?As a member of the fraternity, you will receivemonthly lessons in cosmic law to study at home. Theselessons contain spiritual principles and concepts astaught by the ascended masters. They are outer signs ofyour soul’s inner initiations on the spiritual path, and soare to be kept confidential. Thirty-two lessons are nowavailable and more are forthcoming.We recommend that you also subscribe to thePearls of Wisdom, timeless messages from the ascendedmasters delivered by the Messengers through the agencyof the Holy Spirit.As you devote yourself to the flame of life, SaintGermain will personally sponsor you on a path of soultesting and spiritual growth. While you sleep at night,angels will take your soul to the retreats of the ascendedmasters on the etheric plane to receive spiritual training.7

And you’ll have the opportunity to order many products at member discounts.WHAT DOES A KEEPER OF THE FLAME PLEDGETO SAINT GERMAIN?When you apply to become a member of thefraternity, you make a pledge to Saint Germain touphold the principles of the fraternity.You also pledge to reconsecrate the flame of life atleast once a day by reciting “The Keeper’s Daily Prayer”and offering prayers and invocations on behalf of all life.When you become a member, we’ll send you a freeaudiocassette with instruction and demonstrations onhow to give dynamic decrees (spoken prayers andaffirmations) to anchor God’s light in the earth.HOW TO JOINSign the enclosed pledge to Saint Germain and fillout the application form. There is an initial enrollmentfee, plus nominal monthly dues.
