It cannot be in use by any third-party application.Open Serial Port If you purchased the MaximEyes Equipment Link module, make sure that your workstation includes an “open serial port” toaccommodate each ophthalmic equipment connection (one port per piece of equipment). Equipment must connect to a physical serial port. If you must use a serial to USB adapter, please consult with a First Insight technicianbefore purchasing. First Insight is not responsible for changing settings on ophthalmic equipment. Contact your equipment vendor for detailed instructions.Digital Camera Images Importing and storing images in a MaximEyes patient record and/or patient encounter. Each digital image must be saved as a .jpg format before it can be stored as a reference to a record within MaximEyes. Contact yourdigital camera vendor to verify if you can save images in .jpg format. Detailed instructions on how to import (attach) a digital image in a MaximEyes patient record are available on First Insight’s “ForCustomers” website at http://customer.first-insight.com. Once you log in, click the FAQs tab and search for “digital images.” Or,contact First Insight’s technical support at 800.920.1940 for additional instructions.
