WEEK EIGHT : INNER GUIDANCEby connie chapman - conniechapman.com

“Intuition is seeing with the soul”Dean KoontzWEEK 8: INNER GUIDANCEInner guidance (often called your intuition) is that small soft whisper thatspeaks to you. It is your gut instinct. It is your inner knowing. It is your truth.Inner guidance is love and it is the language of your heart. It is the wisdom youreceive when you turn inwards, quieten your mind and listen. It may not necessarily come to you in words. It may come through feelings, images and sensations. It is guidance from that higher part of you. The part ofyou that is always there, just waiting for you to listen. We all have a guiding inner voice within us. It is just a matter of whether ornot we listen to it. To listen, we require space. Space from doing. Space fromthinking. Space to feel.We connect with our guidance through feeling it, and we strengthen our abilityto feel it, the more we listen to it.The more that we can trust it, have faith it and act on it, the louder and strongerit will become. This week I am going to be supporting you to strengthen your relationshipwith your inner guidance by connecting with it, giving it space and acting on it.1

“Trusting you intuition means tuning inas deeply as you can to the energy youfeel, following that energy moment tomoment, trusting that it will lead youwhere you want to go and bring youeverything you desire.” ”Dean KoontzYOUR PRACTICES FOR THIS WEEK1Worksheets2PracticeComplete the following 3 worksheets Discover your Inner Guidance worksheet Inner Guide Free Writing worksheet Receive Your Inner Guidance worksheetUse the Inner Guidance Meditation Exercise.Note: This week your meditation is to be completed before you moveon to Worksheets 2 & 33Meditate4AffirmTake a minimum of 5 minutes each day to sit in stillness and breathe.“I am guided”2

WORKSHEET 1 : DISCOVER YOUR INNERGUIDANCEThink of a time where you felt an inner sense of knowing. Where you feltled by your intuition or where you had a gut instinct about something.Write it here. When you had this inner feeling of knowing, where in your body did youfeel it and what did it feel like?Choose a time where you actually followed through on this guidance.Maybe it was a time where your head was telling you to do the opposite, but you followed your intuition anyway. Write it here.3

How did you know it was the right thing to do?Did your mind question it? And if so, how did you stay connected to yourguidance and what made you follow it?How did you support yourself to follow through on this decision, especiallyduring times when it is was scary or made no logical sense?4

What particular signs or sensations did your inner guidance give you?How did it communicate with you? Eg: though images or visions, words, afeeling, synchronicities, magical things happening etc.In your day to day life, when are the times that you feel most connected toyour inner guidance, or most able to access it and hear it? What practiceshelp you connect with it?5

EXERCISE : INNER GUIDANCE MEDITATIONYou can read through this meditation and practice it at your own pace. Or,you can listen to the recording of this meditation which will be available underthe Week 8 Resources on the Members Website.1) Prepare yourself for a meditation by dimming the lights, lighting a candle, getting comfortable and taking some deep breaths to relax yourself. Restyour hands in your lap or on your legs with your palms facing upwards.2) Start by focusing your attention on your breath. As you breathe in feel theair moving in through your nose and down in to your belly. As you breatheout, feel the air leaving your tummy and moving out through your nose.Continue focusing your attention on your breath as you breathe in and out.3) Now, focus your attention on the palm of your hands. As you focus yourattention on that area begin to notice the energy in the palm of your hand. You may feel a tingling sensation or just the sensation of energy.4) Keep focusing on the palm of your hand and feeling that energy as youbreathe deeply.5) Now bring your attention inwards. Bring it in to the centre of your body, behind your navel. Just as you did with your hands, start to sense theenergy that is sitting within you. Feel the energy that is sitting in yourstomach area. Feel the energy that is inside of you.6) Now move your attention upwards in to your heart space. Just as youdid before, start to sense the energy that is sitting within your heart space.Feel the energy that is sitting in your heart area. Feel the energy that isinside of you.7) Now imagine that energy is expanding. Feel the energy in your heartand stomach growing larger and larger until it eventually fills up the wholespace within you. Feel this energy within your whole body. As you breathein and out experience it even more.8) Now that you feel connected to this energy, stay with it and just observe.Listen for anything that arises from this energy, whether it is feelings, images, sensations, words or pictures. Just stay present and feel.9) Finally you can ask any question you may have and allow a responseor feeling to arise within you. You can ask for guidance, for support, orfor a new perspective. You can ask for the learning or lesson you need toreceive. Just ask your question and sit and receive.10) Keep breathing in and out and feeling the energy of your innerguidance until you feel ready to finish.6
