Even in the eventof a mains failure, the load is supplied by the inverter withoutinterruption.At the same time and even with a 100% unbalanced load, PillerStatic UPS maintains accuracy at the high output voltage toavoid jeopardising the operation of the critical loads. Varyingloads do not affect the quality of the output voltage. This distorted currentcauses an appreciable rise in the specified, limited harmoniclevel. In addition, such currents also have serious notches,which cause so-called commutation notches in the supplysystem. The result is a phase shift between voltage and current and thus reactive power absorption. Other UPS manufacturers install filter systems in the energy supply, resultingin over dimensioning of standby generating plant, cables andfuses.
